Daisy update! 🎉

THANK YOU to everyone that helped by posting Daisy’s appearances around town the past few days.

THANK YOU to Kristyne Ford and her son Levi who spent countless hours this weekend in miserable weather trying to convince Daisy that she should surrender herself. Oswald Sawh and Michele Nichol who also drove around helping this weekend. Our board member Melissa who spent time checking the trap, making food for the trap and buying Daisy Roast chickens. Ford for allowing us to set the trap on their property.

THANK YOU to our employee who is sick but still went out with her sister and lastly THANK YOU to the lady who was able to help get Daisy tonight!

Hopefully I didn’t miss thanking anyone but know this was truly a community effort and we are grateful 🙏

Daisy has shelter, a warm bed, a bowl of clean water and warm meal tonight 🩷

In partnership with Pet Smart Charities, the Winnipeg Humane Society, NCN, and Manitoba Animal Alliance, the Thompson Humane Society facilitated 115 implants and 47 vaccinations to roaming dogs to stop unwanted reproduction for in an effort to better manage the population of roaming animals in the community. The hope is that there will less litter of pups, who in many cases suffer. Doing the implants js Dr Youngs who is also working with the Thompson Humane Society to bring regular vet care to Thompson in the New Year.

If you see “Daisy” please comment where and the time. Please DO NOT FEED HER and do not try to catch her! This could hinder our efforts in getting her.

A big thank you to one of our two momma dogs that is not only taking care of her litter of pups but another litter due to the other momma not producing enough milk. A total of 10 pups in all!!!
