Kickstarted with a photoshoot, following a weekend in Sudbury going literally everywhere with me, even watching me compete on stage. We visited Old Women’s Bay old for the second time and went on a fishing expedition.
So much fun creating memories with this peach 🍑

Learning dog behaviour.

A common theme amongst most dog owners is the lack of knowledge when reading and understanding dog behaviour.

I find this to be critical for both the dogs and people.
In order to sufficiently communicate with your dog, you must have a basic understanding of their language.

➡️How does one learn dog behaviour?
The more interaction/observation of many different breeds, sexes and scenarios would benefit to knowledge.
Unless you’re raised into a life that includes this, many individuals may struggle to obtain this knowledge.

I was lucky enough to be raised since birth into a life of working dogs. As well as that, I gained experience through volunteering at events such as dog shows and helping handle dogs at clinics/seminars. Observing the similarities and differences between breeds and work was good exposure for me.
Volunteering into rescues can be beneficial as well but from a different perspective.
Hands on experience is the forefront when learning majority of practices.
Reading is important yes, but experience is living the words written.

Welcome Poppy to K9 North!
Poppy is a Golden retriever employed as a therapy dog .pier.mental.health

Poppy is enrolled for a 3 week board & train. We will training overall obedience including, place work, recall and heeling with introduction to the ecollar.
