Looking for a foster home for Coco! Please reach out to me; her current foster is no longer able to keep her.

Coco is a beautiful 2-year-old female German Shepherd mix searching for a stable, loving home.

This sweet girl has had a rough start in life. She was passed from home to home due to poor decisions by previous owners, leaving her without stability or safety. Until recently, Coco was kept in a cage in a basement with little interaction, no walks, and no chance to play with other dogs.

Because of her past, Coco needs an experienced dog owner who is fully committed to continuing her rehabilitation and helping her succeed. She’s very smart, has a high prey drive, has a high need to protect the home and her people and is currently receiving one-on-one training to address her reactivity.

Her foster family has been incredible for her healing journey. Coco is learning to read social cues, interact with other dogs, and trust people. She’s very responsive, intelligent, and picks up new skills quickly. She currently lives with two other dogs and is doing fine but it would be best for Coco to be in a home where she is the only pet and has the focus.

Coco still has some reactivity, but with ongoing training and the trust she’s building, we’re confident she’ll overcome this soon.

Coco has endured a lot of neglect, so we’re looking for someone who truly understands her breed, energy level, and is willing to dedicate time and love for the rest of her life.

Baibao Rescue and Adoption is a self-funded, non-profit organization. It is not a registered charity, which means we cannot issue tax receipts for donations. As a result, attracting public donations is challenging, and the organization does not qualify for government or other institutional funding.

Our funding comes from the following sources:
• Primary Source: Contributions from me, the founder of Baibao, through my small public practice firm, YSW Accounting & Tax Corp, which I run in my spare time.
• Secondary Source: Adoption fees, which provide a modest amount of support.
In addition, a few close friends occasionally or periodically make donations to help sustain the rescue’s operations. I also sometimes sell donated items from our supporters to raise extra funds.
Currently, the rescue cares for around 60 dogs, covering food, daily care, and medical expenses. Therefore, I strive to utilize every dollar efficiently and wisely. I deeply appreciate the help from our fosters and volunteers and hope we are all aligned in our mission.

Our services include:
• Accepting surrendered dogs and cats when capacity allows
• Providing foster care, food, supplies, and necessary medical treatments
• Rehoming pets into loving families

Meet Mina, a 1-year-old ragdoll girl — spayed, vaccinated, and absolutely adorable!
This beautiful, sweet girl was abandoned and lived as a stray for a while. Thankfully, a kind-hearted human found her, took her in, and even brought her all the way to beautiful Vancouver. Unfortunately, his dog isn’t able to accept the “newcomer,” so he reached out to me to help find Mina the loving forever home she deserves.
Mina is gentle, friendly, and great with other cats. She’s also unfazed by my dogs! She’s potty-trained and even walks nicely on a leash, just like a little dog. She’s a good eater who enjoys kibbles and canned foods — especially Almo Nature wet food. She’s very attached to her human; call her name and she’ll come running. And if one day she seems to have disappeared, don’t panic — check your closet first! She’s clever enough to open wardrobe doors and loves curling up inside for a cozy afternoon nap.

Chocolate, now Coco, is in her foster home. A totally different dog for only a couple of days! The first time ever I saw the smile on her face! With the right person, all her previous issues are no longer. All she needs is to consume her energy since she is a GDS and in her young age. Will provide follow-ups till she is adopted.

After careful consideration, and following one meeting, two home visits, and one post-contract home visit, Mochi has finally found her loving forever home.
Back in January, a woman from Richmond surrendered Mochi to our rescue. Not long after arriving, we discovered that she was suffering from an ear infection and had severe allergies to many common foods. She could only eat specialized anti-allergy food.
Since she wasn't spayed, about a month later she began showing symptoms of a urinary tract infection. This led to an emergency surgery for pyometra, during which the vet also discovered a tumor the size of a golf ball. There was initial concern that it might be cancer. Fortunately, after lab testing and a consultation with a specialist, cancer was ruled out.
However, more challenges awaited. Mochi was diagnosed with patellar luxation in both of her hind legs. While her left leg can remain untreated for now, surgery is required for the right leg.
Despite all her medical struggles, Mochi is now happy, healthy, and thriving in her new home, thanks to the dedication and love from her adopter.
We want to give our heartfelt thanks to the two amazing foster families who cared for Mochi over the past 9 months. She had to visit the vet frequently, and none of this would have been possible without their tireless support.
A huge thank you as well to all of the donors who contributed to Mochi’s care. You have all been a part of her journey to recovery and happiness.
Over the 9 months, Mochi incurred medical expenses totaling $13,563.10. Of this, the public generously donated $4,530.79, and our organization covered $7,104.43.

Mochi had her right knee surgery on July 17. With the foster's support, she is recovering. She will have her first post-surgery check on July 31.
