Happy Family Day! We have a family announcement of our own. As some of you may or may not know Coveted Kennels and Sanctuary has a sister organization called Coveted Canines; a rehabilitation/rescue and rehoming organization for dogs in need of rescue. Coveted Canines and Coveted Kennels are excited to announce that we are now one big happy family: Coveted Canines and Creatures Rescue! We have made the decision to amalgamate both organizations under one roof (or barn!) and will continue to work to rescue both canines and other creatures seeking help and rehabilitation.

Please follow for updates and posts about our rescued farm animals, small domestics and birds.

Our feral cats are truly the sweetest creatures in our barn. They silently exist with the other lovely furry and feathered babies hiding in hay mounds, balancing on beams, or perched atop gates. When turning a corner you may see them scurrying from the side of your eye. They may not be the most forthcoming with affection but once in awhile we can gently pet them and they will tolerate tiny bits of attention.

Frankie is officially up for adoption at !!!!!!

Frankie | Sheltipoo | 1-2 years old | Male | 12.15kg | Owner Surrender

Temperament: Sweet, Playful, Loyal, Smart!
Activity level: High energy!
Vetting: Core vaccines (dh2pp and Rabies). Neutered, microchipped, dewormed, f***l - negative, 4dx negative for tick related diseases and heartworm disease.
Housebroken: Yes 100%!
Good with Dogs: Is dog selective, best in an only dog home. He absolutely loves some dogs but when he meets a dog he does not like he will react aggressively.
Good with Cats: No.
Good with Children: Not tested.  
Any noted prey drive: Yes, loves to chase anything!
How do they respond to the outdoors: Frankie absolutely loves the outdoors. He will go hiking for hours, and run around in the yard forever! His favourite pastime is to be outside having fun! Does best on quieter streets. Not used to downtown or busy city life. 
Crate Trained: Will bark for five minutes then calms down.
Any resource guarding: Frankie is very good around both food and toys around people but he can be aggressive with high value items around other animals.
Response to commands: Frankie is really responsive to sit, stay, down and come. He is a very smart dog and can definitely learn some cool new tricks with time.
Are they vocal: Frankie can bark at strangers if he feels intimidated, it is best to tell people to ignore Frankie (no eye contact) and let him approach so he does not feel intimidated. In new surroundings if he hears an odd noise he will bark but once you tell him to stop he does stop. Treats will be your best friend for meeting Frankie.
Leash Etiquette: Can be excited and pull but is good once calm and once the handler has his attention. With ongoing training this will improve. 
Transportation: Frankie loves the car! He sleeps in the back seat for long rides and is used to his car seat! He isn’t the type of dog for public transit.
