Pami has been found safe and is home with family. She circled back to near her point of escape and someone read number on her collar.

Someone messaged me about the search for Stephanie Woodcock, missing from Antler's Beach for several months.

We learned that her remains were found and were identified a few days ago. This link includes the FINDING STEPHANIE WOODCOCK group if anyone wishes to share love with her family.

We were still looking for her including a potential lead in Peachland a few weeks ago that of course did not pan out.

Her mom says it best.

"It is with great sadness and pain that I share this update!

I received confirmation from the coroner’s office today that it was my daughter Stephanie’s body they recovered from the Okanagan lake in Peachland!

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love and support received by all!

Forever grateful!

Karen Pryor has died today and will be missed by hundreds of thousands. She led the way and guided the animal training world out of the fear dominance & darkness, into the light of R+ (Positive Reinforcement) Training, Clicker Training and relationship building with all animals.

She founded KPA Karen Pryor Academy where myself and THOUSANDS of trainers around the globe have learned to help people bond with their animals.

She founded Clicker Expo where many of the best minds in animal training share ever-expanding techniques for animal trainers every year, live and in person.

She founded the Karen Pryor Ranch, where trainers learn to train all kinds of farm animals, live and in person.

Pets, livestock, dolphins, chipmunks, rats. I can train any of them without fear due to people like Karen Pryor, Temple Grandin, Dr. Sophia Yin and Ken Ramirez.

I was not fortunate enough to meet her, only as my disabilities prevented me from going to Clicker Expo in person, but she will be in my heart every time I see, hold or help an animal of any kind.

I'm involved in a search for lost doggo with many people involved, coordinated via 2 FB groups. There were sightings during the outage and the search was so reliant on those groups it was almost paralyzing to not have FB. Everyone did their best but losing group comms made everything more time consuming and frustrating.

You know the game "Telephone". Passing around messages in an evolving situation never gets the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth to the other end. Try passing a follow-up question back...

Much of my ongoing training/testing is different methods of communicating as a team on searches. They still involve software and internet but offer real time tracking of team members and ability to livestream drone feed to other members.

We now have Starlink and it will be online this spring. Will be testing broadcasting WiFi to team members nearby.

Message from ALERT, Animal Lifeline Emergency Response Team, where I have volunteered for over a decade. I will be Level 1 by spring and responding to single home emergencies.

What most people don't know is how many Level 1s ALERT responds to. This year has been particularly bad and sad.

This morning we had a fire in Penticton that destroyed everything a family had. But, they are ok and thanks to the amazing ESS Volunteers and the Red Cross, they have a safe place to stay for a few days with their 3 large dogs.

When we respond, we include dog toys amongst the many other things they receive from us. But we are at the bottom of our toy barrel now. If you have any dog toys you are purging, large and small, or if you want to play Santa, we would welcome a clean toy for these special evacuees.

Donations can be dropped off to our Box 208 at the UPS Store 437 Martin Street, Penticton. Or contact me and I'll collect them.

Montana is safe! Thanks to a whole chain of people but esp Gabby who I found talking to Montana, and the wonderful Auntie Jacenda from Petra’s Pawdicures.

Thank you to everyone that help including Okanagan Humane Society OHS that is caring for needs and reuniting with her owner/guardian.
