As we settle into 2026 I wanted to make a post to explain to people that with my rising costs there is reason.
Price of my grooms are never set rates as they fluctuate depending on the condition of the dog, what you want done cut wise and the dogs behaviour… because non of these things are predictable I can rarely give an accurate estimate without seeing and feeling the dog first. My personal costs to run my business have gone up -from supplies to overhead-and with that the groom prices must follow. I’ve attached some photos to try and help those who are confused or questioning this to better understand.
I’ve also attached average grooming prices in Calgary to show that I’m well within the price range and in some cases still underpriced in comparison. Also- grooming IS a tipping industry just like most other services that require such time and attention to detail. All that aside I’ve been grooming now for 20 years and I’m grateful for the business to be able to do so- so thank you to those for your continued support- I appreciate you ❤️
