Even on a mild day, the temperature inside a parked car can rise dangerously fast ☀️ Even in the shade, even with windows cracked. Dogs can’t cool themselves like humans do, which means heat exhaustion and heatstroke can happen in minutes. 🐾
⚠️ Watch for signs like:
Excessive panting
Dark red gums
Lethargy or weakness
Collapse or unresponsiveness
If you see a pet alone in a hot vehicle and are concerned for their welfare, contact local police right away or Provincial Animal Welfare Services (PAWS) at 1-833-9ANIMAL.
