Hearts4Paws is a non-profit, 100% volunteer run, foster based senior cat rescue based in Stratford Including individual foster homes when available.
Our love for animals inspires us to provide assistance in rehoming cats in emergency situations - in particular, senior cats at risk of euthanasia due to impending homelessness. We have rehomed and adopted out over 175 cats since 2019, many whom have come to us due to an owner's declining health, move to a long term care facility or sudden passing. We are partnered with the Alley Cat Cafe and Feed
all Pet Centre where many of our cats where successfully adopted out to their forever homes. All the cats that come through our rescue receive a wellness exam, up-to-date vaccines, spay/neuter and medical care if required. Our small adoption fees only cover a fraction of our expenses so we rely on the generous donations from our community. Many of the cats have received little to no vet care. So in the event of emergencies we like to have some funds available. Any donations are appreciated. Donations can be made the following ways:

๐ Important Update from Hearts4Paws Senior Cat Rescue ๐
I want to share with you all that Iโm currently facing a very difficult situation. I recently suffered a broken ankle in three places (requiring surgery) and also chipped the other. Because of this, I am unable to take in any cats at this time, and Iโm not sure when Iโll be able to return to regular rescue activities.
If you need help with a cat, please connect with our local support group here:

Heartbreaking news from the rescue world ๐
Chris Arsenault, the founder of Happy Cat Sanctuary, tragically lost his life in a fire while heroically trying to save the animals he dedicated his life to. It's said that he rescued 150-200 cats before perishing alongside potentially 100 others.
Chris started Happy Cat Sanctuary after the loss of his son, turning his grief into a mission of love and compassion. His impact on the lives of so many animals and the TNR community in Long Island will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Chris. Your kindness and devotion will live on. ๐๏ธ๐พ

Sending all our love to the Alley Cat Cafe family during this difficult time. Smudgy, aka Smooshie was such a special soul and we're so grateful for the love and care you gave her. She will forever hold a place in our hearts. Rest in peace, sweet Smudge and may you be reunited with Toebean at the Rainbow Bridge. โค๏ธ๐พ"

About us:
Hearts 4 Paws is a non-profit cat, foster based rescue in Stratford, Ontario focusing primarily on Senior cats. We are 100% volunteer run. Our love for animals inspires us to provide help rehoming cats in emergency surrender situations โ in particular, senior cats at risk of being euthanized due to impending homelessness. Many of whom have come to us due to an ownerโs declining health, move to a long term care facility or passing.
Over the past year we have taken in over 70 cats and adopted out 69 of them to their forever homes as of August 7, 2020. We are partnered with Stratford's one and only Alley Cat Cafรฉ and Feedall Pet Center where several of our cats where successfully adopted out to their forever homes.
All the cats that come through our care receive a Vet Wellness Examination, Up to Date vaccines, and additional Medical Care or Spay/Neuter if required. Our small adoption fees unfortunately do not cover all of our expenses. We have no government funding so the rescueโs funding primarily comes from my small Mortgage business, Czartorynskyj Capital Inc., were a portion of the annual revenue has been donated to Hearts4Paws Rescueโs Angel Fund. Many of the cats are coming from loving homes, but have received little to no vet care as well as no vaccines.
Thanks for supporting our rescue.

Rehoming: If you need to rehome a pet please post it on our FB Group Stratford Animal Community Support Group This group was established since 2010 and has lots of resources and has helped many people rehome their pets.
Mission Statement:
Hearts4Paws Animal Rescue works to ensure that no cat becomes homeless as a result of an emergency experienced by its owner. Sudden hospitalization, a move to long-term care, or any other life crisis can mean that a cat may no longer be cared for in the home he / she has known and loved. Sometimes, especially in the case of a senior cat, the cat might be at risk of euthanization because it can be difficult to find a new forever home. Hearts4Paws intervenes in such cases, fostering and rehoming cats in emergency surrender situations.
