Keeping our horses feeling and performing their best is a huge part of the program at Rosefield. 💥

Equiscope has become part of our regular maintenance routine — not just for recovery, but for prevention too. We’re big believers that staying ahead of soreness, tightness, compensation, and fatigue matters just as much as treating it after the fact.

Strong, comfortable horses stay happier in their jobs and more confident in their performance. 🤝🐴

PM to book your horse in for an Equiscope session!

Counter arc is where control really shows up.

You’re asking your horse to move one direction while staying softly bent the opposite — keeping the shoulders up and the body honest.

This drill helps:
• free up the shoulders
• improve body control
• keep the ribcage soft

This is a great drill to practice with young horses or seasoned horses!

Hard work beats talent. Discipline beats motivation.

Backing up is one of the best ways to keep your horse light and engaged through the hind end.

Suggest with your hands first, then reinforce with your feet.

This helps:
• keep the hind end in place
• build engagement from behind
• create a lighter, more responsive horse

Hard work beats talent. Discipline beats motivation.

At Rosefield Stable, we believe maintenance and recovery are just as important as the work we put in under saddle.

Moonshine and the horses in our program regularly use the Equiscope as part of their maintenance routine to help support recovery, comfort, muscle function, and overall performance. It’s become a valuable tool in helping keep our horses feeling and performing their best.

We will have the Equiscope at the barn for the next 3 days, and we’ll be opening up a limited number of private sessions for anyone interested in trying it with their horse.

If you’d like to book a session or have questions about how it works, please send us a private message. 🐎✨

Spring clean up starts with your tack.

Before you swing a leg over, take the time to go through everything!

Check your:
• latigos + billets
• stirrup leathers
• cinches + buckles
• reins + snaps
• headstalls + throat latches

If it’s cracked, stretched, dry, or worn… replace it. Stay safe, solid, and ready for the season ahead.

Hard work beats talent. Discipline beats motivation.

Coulter’s Corner: Rollbacks

Rollbacks aren’t just about turning fast — they’re about control, timing, and keeping your horse honest through their body.

This drill helps build:
• sharper feet
• better shoulder control
• quicker response time
• stronger communication between horse + rider

Slow it down, keep your hands quiet, and make every step intentional. The speed comes after the softness.

Hard work beats talent. Discipline beats motivation.
