This post has taken me a while to write because I’m still just in awe of what we ALL accomplished last weekend. It’s a long one, so grab a snack — every single name here deserves to be recognized.

If you followed along with the Summer Kick Off journey, you probably saw how it all came to be...
I didn’t come from a rodeo family, and getting started was intimidating for both me and my family. Even wanting to “level up” felt overwhelming at times. I always promised myself that if I ever had the chance, I would give back the same kindness and support that so many people showed me over the years.
Well, somehow life brought me into a multigenerational rodeo family, and now with SwitchUp® Buckets - I get to run a small business alongside some incredibly talented and kind people. What started as a little idea turned into an amazing weekend shaped by the entire SwitchUp® Team.
Friday was our team roping clinic, and we had people who didn’t even want to get out of the truck — or swore they’d never leave the box — rope live steers for the very first time.
Saturday was breakaway day, and once again we watched people rope live cattle for the first time ever. Our evening jackpot brought some FAST times too!
Sunday was barrel racing day, and we saw confidence built, and so many lightbulb moments. The barrel jackpot was phenomenal with fast ground, fast runs, and personal goals achieved all around.
More than anything, I hope everyone who attended knows how supported you are. I hope you all crush your goals this year. There are so many incredible events and associations out there, and I hope you have the absolute best summer!

And then there are the people who worked tirelessly behind the scenes:
• Jenner Wade Meston — thank you for putting up with my wild ideas and working your butt off to make them happen.
• My mom Kathy Feduschak Asmussen— who drove 9 hours without hesitation to help all weekend and take care of the kids.
• Boone — this little guy spent four days at the Ag Grounds helping set up, push cattle, ride the quad, and clean up. He absolutely lived his best life.
• Diane Skocdopole— one of my best pals, always listening to my craziness and helped turn this weekend into something amazing.
• Armstrong Bobbi Henderson & Aubrey Ross — these girls blow me away with both their talent and kindness. They’re in the middle of rodeo season (and winning!) and still arranged their schedules to be here. True Champions.
• Wyatt Smith and Logan Spady— thank you for helping break in calves… in the rain. You guys are the best.
• KR — one of my ride-or-dies. Thank you for Sunday… and always being there for me.
• Monty Gertner and Dawn— there wouldn’t have been a barrel jackpot without them. Their experience and ground prep are second to none.
• Memphis Jones and Roan Heck— these boys practically lived at the Ag Grounds all weekend doing whatever needed to be done. They never stopped. Roan even left Sunday with a puppy!
• Jolene Grover Heck— somehow showed up every day despite being incredibly busy and helped keep everything running smoothly. You’re the best, my friend.
• Botha Skocdopole Ranches Dan Skocdopole Carley Skocdopole — thank you for always supporting us.
• Chad Sorensen (and Nash!) Melitta Sorensen — best hay picker around with the fastest service. 😊
• Meston Performance Horses— thank you for donating your time and extra arena help every day. Wade even showed up with pneumonia!
• Paige Jones— heavy equipment operator extraordinaire. Truly not sure what I would have done without you.

• Scott Lourance and Cheryl Lourance— Just thank you! These two helped all weekend with absolutely anything that was needed. Scott and Chad even found new uses for SwitchUp buckets!
