We’re Moving to the Mountains!

It’s official — we’re moving to the mountains and starting a brand-new adventure!

To all of my incredible clients, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I truly can’t put into words how appreciative I am for every single one of you. Thank you for trusting me with your dogs, supporting my business, and allowing me to be a part of your training journeys.

Over the past couple of years, I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many amazing people and dogs. I’ve made friendships, shared countless laughs, celebrated successes, and created memories that I will carry with me into this next chapter. You and your dogs will be missed more than you know.

I am officially finished for the summer so I can spend these last few weeks at home enjoying time with my friends and family before the big move.

For anyone looking for training or support with their dog, I highly recommend reaching out to Well Mannered Mutts Ashley is absolutely amazing, and I know you and your dogs will be in wonderful hands with her.

Training doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective.

We’re currently on the ferry heading to the island, and I took the opportunity to run through a few simple training exercises with Apollo. It was a great way to keep him engaged, build his confidence, and help him stay focused in a brand-new environment.

Considering this was Apollo’s very first boat ride, there were plenty of new sights, sounds, and movement to take in. He handled it all incredibly well, and I couldn’t be prouder of how he responded.

Today I had the pleasure of working with the adorable Mr. Finnigan during an in-home training session.

His family reached out to ensure they are building a strong foundation for a well-rounded, confident puppy, and are setting him up for long-term success.

During our session, we covered:

* Structure and boundaries within the home
* Appropriate ways to redirect and encourage healthy rest periods
* Positive outlets for puppy energy and mental stimulation
* Introduction to foundational obedience skills and basic commands

Finnigan is an incredibly intelligent puppy with a wonderful eagerness to learn and engage. He showed great potential throughout the session, and I am excited to watch his confidence, skills, and understanding continue to grow over the coming months.

With more rain in the forecast this weekend, I’ve decided to open up additional Slatmill sessions to help keep your dogs active, engaged, and mentally stimulated.
