I built two irrigation stations to make my life easier. I finished my Cancer treatments this week, and now I’m in recovery mode from all of that. If I don’t have to be watering things that spares some energy for me to possibly get other things done. It took a while to get these built and running because I did it while I was receiving chemotherapy. But I’m grateful that they are done and running because all my plants are looking happy.

I made these irrigation stations. It’s to free me from the job of watering my flowers and vegetables. The irony of it is that I didn’t really have energy to build them. But luckily, I was able to do most of the work sitting down at a table for short periods of time.

The plan today is to hook up all of my zones and get them programmed. Then I can set it and forget it.

Today is a couch day I think. But I’m hoping later in the day I will get more energy to hook this stuff up. We’re about to get a heat wave.

I got the timers from Canadian tire. Then I bought 5/8 brass connectors. And I used copper strapping to put it all into place.

Today I need to go get a Y connector. That way I can put my regular hose on one side and my irrigation station on the other. The smaller irrigation station is for the front yard and the larger one is for the backyard. These are held onto the house with some simple hook and eyes. So in the fall when everything is done, I can detach it from the house and store it for the winter. 😁👍

I haven’t posted here in a while. Life has been a little “busy” to say the least.

But today, my FB friend Crystal shared her page and it just inspired me to be more active on my page here!

Meanwhile, I will be posting a few things here more often, thanks to Crystal inspiring me.

I should warn y’all, I don’t look the same, thanks to breast cancer and subsequent treatments. But I’m still me, and working on my yard and garden is my rehab to try and get myself back on track - understanding that the “track” won’t be the same as before. I’m embracing each challenge, and using my home yard to appreciate the beauty that life has to offer.

I’m changing my profile pic so my subsequent posts don’t give you a jump-scare! 🤣🤣

(It’s ok to laugh. Life is absurdly stupid sometimes. It’s also amazing and beautiful at the same time. 💐💕)
