Today we said goodbye to our beloved SchMichael, who crossed the rainbow bridge.
SchMichael was one of a kind. He had a calm, confident way about him - never in a rush, always observing, always knowing. He moved through our days with quiet authority, like he was keeping an eye on things... and us. And when he didn’t approve? That famous “ho-ho” bark let us know. It always made us laugh - because it was so him.
He was one of our very first guests at Bark Barn, and from the beginning, he helped shape the heart of this place. SchMichael didn’t need to be the center of attention to make an impact. He had a grounding presence - steady, wise, and full of character.
He brought a quiet rhythm to our days, and somehow made everything feel a little more complete just by being there.
And of course, there was his bedtime tradition: the SchMichael Special - mini milk bones tucked into a Kong, served just the way he liked it. He waited for it every night. That small ritual meant something to all of us. It was SchMichael’s way, and it made the end of the day feel right.
We’ll miss him deeply — his strong spirit, his quirks, his voice, and his quiet companionship.
Thank you, SchMichael, for letting us be part of your story.
We find comfort in knowing that his brother Euclid will be waiting for him under the bridge, ready to greet him once again.
