Always believed that the best doberman was one with Mens sana in corpore sano, which translates to a healthy mind in a healthy body. I truly believe that what we produce has and always will be a dog with a healthy mind in a healthy body. Nine years ago today we lost Tex. He was such a amazing guy. A real true doberman! If you look up the word devotion, it says "love, loyalty, or enthusiasm for a person, activity, or cause". This was Tex! His courage and devotion to duty and his family never wavered" Whether he was laying around the house sleeping(with one eye open), playing outside with us or the other dogs, he had that true doberman spirit. Heaven help you if you got out of your car with out anyone outside to greet you. Because Tex would absolutely greet you, loud deep barks, growls and teeth showing! And then in a blink of a eye, rubbing up to you, waiting for a pet and a rub! Tex you are gone, but always remembered.

Tikka and Mars doing some R&D with our new ball tugs that we make here at old country kennels. What a great way to burn off energy in a short time by playing ball and yanking on that tug. Made of eva foam they are a high value reward for training! Great for playing tug-of-war, fetch, and it floats! Also soft for the dog to grab it and the foam is self healing. After the dog releases the ball, the tooth punctures on the ball seal themselves up. These are not a chew toy, they are for engagement with your pet. PM me if you wanna know how you can get one of these tugs for yourself.
