Having a dog that walks politely on their leash makes for a more enjoyable walking experience!

Reserve your spot today! Class restricted to 5 dogs! All dogs must be vaccinated (6months and older). Classes will be held outdoors.

Little Einsteins - Loose Leash Program

If walking your dog feels like a huge game of Tug of War the loose leash program is for you!

This program will provide guidance in the following areas:

Loose leash walking cues
Engagement during walks
Staying below threshold
Functional Enrichment
Staying safe during off leash encounters

All classes will be instructed outside!

Classes are 60 mins which will include skills acquisition and structured application.

Class size is restricted to 5 dogs!

THIS IS NOT A LEASH REACTIVE CLASS!

Leash reactive dogs will need to enter into private sessions for behaviour modification.

Cost of class: $300

SATURDAYS @ 3:00pm starting Oct 25th, 2025

Location: Outer Cove

Duration: 6 weeks + Final Assessment

All dogs must be FULLY VACCINATED (6 months and up)

Say hello to Toby!

Toby is a gorgeous 5 yr old Goodendoodle who has just joined the K-9stein’s Training Family!

Toby will be working on a variety of different things with us. Our biggest goal will be to help him feel more secure and confident around stimuli that currently create feelings of anxiety and fear!

We want to help Toby live his best life!

Reactive dogs require a lot of assistance to feel safe and comfortable around triggering stimuli in their environment.

Behaviour modification plans are designed and tailored to each individual dog. To help my reactive clients I am continuously working towards deepening my understanding of reactivity and how best to address it.

Currently I am working towards my CBAT-KA assessment which requires I complete a variety of courses from the Grisha Stewart Academy which will culminate in an assessment exam.

I have recently completed the first of many courses in this program. The knowledge from which will assist me in designing better treatment plans and applying learned skills in BAT Set-ups.

Maisie’s consultation was done outside because she was too nervous to come in. Her 1st session we completed some DS exercises to build her confidence and comfort level. Maisie was able to come inside the training room and begin training her foundation behaviours! Maisie and her owner make an awesome team and are going to make great strides together!

Say hello to Maisie!

This big beautiful Newf is as sweet as she is gorgeous!

Maisie has a big personality to match her size! While Maisie is training with us she will be working on building reliability and fluency in her foundation behaviours!

Then we are going to go “on location” to Maisie’s house to work on some desensitization and counterconditioning to help Maisie overcome her fears and social anxiety!

Maisie may be a big girl but she also has big feelings that cause her to be anxious and afraid especially of people coming into her safe space!

Join us in welcoming Maisie to the K-9stein’s family! We can’t wait to see all the wonderful progress you make!

Please to announce that I have successfully completed “Building Motivation” course from Leerburg with their instructor Michael Ellis.

This course provides insight into Classical and Operant conditioning and behaviour modification, DS/CC and building motivation effectively and applying controls to ensure the dog is accepting and processing information from the handler appropriately.

Continuing education ensures that I am always providing my clients with high quality training services that addresses each individual clients needs.
