Our phone lines have been down since Sunday evening and we have been trying to get someone from Telus out here to fix the problem but we have had no luck with anyone actually showing up! We are hoping to have the phone lines back up by this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

Spot is still up for adoption and is still looking for a forever home!

Hello,

My name is Spot. You may be wondering about how I got my name. Well, when I was a kitten I had a black spot on my forehead. The spot disappeared as I grew. Now my people tell me I’m a spot of white. Well they tell me but I can’t hear them. See…I’m totally deaf. Being deaf doesn’t slow me down. My nose is amazing and I love to look at everything and everyone.

I was adopted from the Edmonton Humane Society as a kitten. I’m a healthy boy who visits the vet yearly for my vaccinations and a check-up.

I love to be where the action is. You will generally find me near you. I am not a cuddly but I do like company. I enjoy sleeping with my people. It’s my job to purr and knead until one of us falls asleep. When they are reading or watching TV, I enjoy kneading on a blanket across their lap. A good knead is extremely satisfying.

I love to go outside. I am very patient about getting my harness & leash on as my human insists I need to be accompanied. I usually go out a few times a week…to enjoy the sights and smells. I absolutely love eating fresh catnip, watching the birds at their feeder and lazing in the grass. Winter isn’t much fun! My toes get cold so fast.

I love to play. Empty boxes, my laser beam, fake mice are my favorites. I’m tolerant with the dogs that I have lived with. My first dog was an adult when I arrived. She wasn’t interested in playing with me but didn’t mind when I slept on her bed. See… I’m the boss. My current dog is a puppy. Wow, she is a busy! She’s always poking her nose in my face but I am being very patient and respectful. I am not so tolerant with other cats though, so would do best in an only cat home.

I have never been around small children so I don’t know what I would think of them. But, I do enjoy older, respectful children.

This little cutie is Pekoe and it's his first time staying with us, and it's for over a month. Safe to say he's pretty happy and we don't wanna give him back! 😻😻
