This winter has definitely been more challenging with extreme cold weather and hazardous road conditions resulting in appointment changes and cancellations.
I want to thank all my amazing clients for their continued patience and understanding during this winter season. Hope to see everyone again soon.
Happy New Year!
Over the past month, we've seen record-breaking snowfall! Central Alberta has had over 400% more precipitation than the 30-year average, with some areas recording up to 72 cm of snow. Since November 1, Parkland County has received nearly double the 47 cm we saw by this time last year.
Our crews are working hard to keep roads safe. Here's how we prioritize snow clearing after a major weather event:
✅ Arterial roads (main routes) are cleared first to maintain emergency access and traffic flow.
✅ Next, we move to collector roads, followed by local, subdivision and hamlet roads.
✅ Parkland County parking lots and rear lanes are cleared last.
Residential snow removal in Entwistle and Wabamun is scheduled to begin next week. If another snow event occurs before all areas are cleared, crews may need to return to higher-priority roads.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these changing conditions and frequent snowfalls.
