Post 3 – Becoming Part of the Jays Family
After the Curve Ball Gala we stayed connected with the Jays Care team, and what happened next reminded us just how special this community is.
They came into our home, spent time with our family, and shared our story as part of the TD MVP Spotlight. It was one of those experiences that stays with you for a lifetime.
Watching it air on Sportsnet was surreal, but what meant the most was seeing how stories like ours and those of our Parkland Challenger athletes, buddies, and families can help celebrate inclusion and the power of sport. That is what Challenger Baseball is all about: breaking down barriers, creating joy, building connection, and sharing a love of the game with every athlete.
More recently the Jays Care and Sportsnet teams visited again to film another chapter that will air down the road, either later this postseason or next season. We feel deeply grateful to continue sharing how sport brings people together and shines a light on the heart of our Challenger community.
As the Jays head into Game 6 tomorrow night, we will be cheering them on with full hearts, right alongside the rest of the country.
