These two will be amazing working dogs if you have a farm or are into agility and obedience dog sports. Girls are trained to the T with one of best GTA trainers. Exceptional with basic commands, leash, recall and agility training.

Everyone, please meet Akira who has joined our Pawtopia Rescue Program today due to health and behavioural conditions. She is just under 1 year of age Shiba Inu. Akira is a sweet girl who was not fortunate enough to have a good start in her life. She is allegedly imported from China and already had changed two caregivers. As per her last family, she had physical trauma from her first owner prior to being rehomed as they could not control her puppy energy (nibbling and biting in particular). As a result, Akira has extreme anxiety when it comes to food. She gets so agitated around her food that starts snapping at her bowl and surrounding visible and non-visible objects (can include humans). This causes her problems with gaining weight as she fights her food versus eating it. Akira has also a potentially neurological condition (either congenital or related to trauma) as she has problems with her gait and trouble with balance (mainly hind legs). Her hip joints are stiff as well and she is sensitive in her tail and lower back regions.
Regardless of her health issues, she is a very friendly and cuddly girl, she enjoys social time and plays with humans (including kids) and other animals.
Akira is not available for adoption yet as we need to figure out her health issues and have a good treatment plan in action to get her on the road to recovery.
We do expect a pricy veterinary bill for her treatment and will be setting up an account with Heartland Veterinary Hospital for her.
