Before coming to Farm Sanctuary, Aggie was living as a companion animal, along with one other cow. When the other cow passed away, Aggie was heartbroken (cows are herd animals and rely heavily on their friendships to cope with stress). Her guardian grew concerned that she was all alone and—instead of sending her to slaughter or auction—he opted to send her to sanctuary.

One year later, Aggie is thriving in her herd. She loves being groomed by the other cows, and is almost always next to a friend. She’s a young cow with her whole life ahead, and will never be without love and companionship again.
