As I enter the busiest season of the year I just wanted to post a few reminders.

‼️I run my shop to work with dogs 1 on 1. I do my best to schedule appointments accordingly so I don’t have any crossovers. To do this, I need everyone’s cooperation and ensure you are picking up your dog(s) at the appropriate scheduled time! I typically give 10-15mins advanced notice of when your dog(s) will be done, but if you need more notice please let me know! This has become a big problem lately. If you know you won’t make it by the pickup time, you need to make me aware of that BEFORE your dog’s appointment. Usually arrangements can be made, but sometimes they cannot.

🦮Please arrive with your dogs ON LEASH! I’m sure most people arriving with their dogs off leash are trained, but I have an outdoor kitty, and wild squirrels, rabbits and other critters around my house. I don’t want to risk the safety of my pets or yours, so please leash your dog!

🐾You are welcome to arrive 5-10 minutes before your dog’s appointment to let them have a sniff and go to the bathroom. But please stay to the front yard and please pick up after your dog.

Bella came in for a complete makeover this afternoon. Mom and Dad gave her a bit of a home haircut so I had my work cut out for me, but she was so cooperative and I think she looks great.

Why is there a picture of my dirty dog on here, especially with no after picture?
Because this is what a happy dog looks like!

On a weekly basis I have clients that come in and say they’ve pre-bathed their dog before the grooming appointment because he/she was dirty and they didn’t want me to think they don’t love their dog.
So let me tell you what I really think of a dirty dog.

A dirty dog is a HAPPY DOG! A dirty dog means they’ve been outside running or playing. It means they’ve been sniffing new smells and maybe chased a squirrel or bird. It means they have been on an adventure. It means they are being mentally stimulated as well as physically stimulated. A dirty dog is tired after coming in (usually) and is better behaved. A dirty dog is living his best doggy life!!

When a client brings me a dirty dog, I’m not thinking “they don’t love their dog”, I’m thinking the exact opposite!!

So bring me your dirty dogs, I will make them clean again and send them back out for more adventures!!
