Rumble and Charm are ready for their forever homes.

Rumble and Charm are a bonded pair and should join the same household together.
Dr O’Grady found these 2 kittens as newborns in a field on Sept 17, during a late night mare check. Despite waiting for several hours for the mother to show up , eventually it became obvious that they needed care.
Hand raised, and an integral part of the O’Grady’s clowder of cats, these 2 kittens are extremely affectionate and are into everything!
No fear and always up for an adventure. They are respectful of Dr. O’Grady’s senior cats but are always hopeful they will play with them. At night they love to cuddle up, usually on your chest where they try to play with the iPad on Dr O’Grady’ lap. Both kittens have a loud, happy purr. Rumble gets his name as he has had a “rumbly” purr since a newborn. Charm is much smaller and as a little kitten looked like she would fit on a bracelet as a charm. Both kittens are almost always under foot– into the washing machine, or drier, climbing into boots and they both love to run up your body to sit on your shoulders. The are happy to stay on your shoulder even going up and downstairs.
Due to being hand raised they are very people orientated and have a high need for affection. They need a home where people like extremely social cats that are always wanting attention. Both lap sitters, often sleeping on your chest or around your neck when longing on the sofa. At bedtime they are up by your head, purring loudly. Charm loves to sleep under the covers snuggled up against you. However, once the alarm goes off they are up and ensure that you are too. After all, it is breakfast time and then play time. After breakfast it is cuddle time and they can be found sitting on my husband’s shoulders or lap while he has his coffee. Absolutely and it will be very difficult to part with these two!
Rumble and Charm are available together for an adoption fee of $500 for both. Separating them would be very difficult for them as they are bonded but would be considered if they would be joining a kitten of similar age in the house. Individual kitten adoption fee would be $275. Their adoption fee will help fund the “AL Fund”, a fund which helps provide care to rescued pets. Dr O’Grady donates her time and covers much of the costs associated with providing care to rescued cats/dogs. When adopting a cat from us, you are giving a rescue cat a forever home and helping the next rescue cat or dog!

Looking for his forever home.
This is Ronaldo, a 18 month old male neutered tabby and white cat.
Ronaldo suffered from a urinary blockage and was close to death when he arrived. Unfortunately, his owner, due, to unforeseen circumstances, could not afford emergency care. Rather than euthanize Ronaldo the owner opted to surrender him to Dr O’Grady in order to give him a chance at survival. Ronaldo luckily did survive.
He is presently on a prescription urinary diet and may require it long term.
Ronaldo is a very busy boy, active, likes to play with other cats. We do not know if he likes dogs as we have not exposed him to dogs yet. Ronaldo is exceptionally friendly but he does like to play bite , he has never broken the skin but we believe he would not do well with younger children.
He would need to live with another young cat that is very active and likes to play. His favorite game here is to open a cupboard and sleep in it and ignore us while we search for him. He waits until we are desperately calling him before he opens the cupboard and saunters out!
Please help us find Ronaldo his forever home.
Ronaldo’s Adoption fee of $ 225 goes directly into our “Al Fund” which is used to help the next rescue cat. . Dr O’Grady donates her time and covers much of the costs associated with providing care to rescued cats/dogs. When adopting a cat from us, you are giving a rescue cat a forever home and helping the next rescue cat or dog!

Clementine, a visually impaired cat has ben waiting for a forever home for over 2 years. Please help us find her one.

This is Clementine, a 3 1/2 year old female spayed cat. She has been waiting in the clinic for over 2 years for her forever home.
Clementine comes from the tropical island of Aquilla. She was an abandoned cat, that although visually impaired manage to successfully raise 4 kittens under a garbage dumpster. She and her kittens were rescued and taken to the local shelter. All 4 of Clementine’s kittens were adopted however, despite her young age (under a year), Clementine was deemed unadoptable and scheduled for euthanasia. She was adopted by a student the day before her scheduled euthanasia and brought to Canada.
Although Clem is visually impaired she has no long term health concerns. She is not as active as other cats so she needs a higher fiber food to keep her regular with bowl movements. She has a congenital eye issue that required surgery to fix her abnormal eyelids and relieve the pain she was in. She, unfortunately, will remain visually impaired for life but her pain is gone.
Clem is a affectionate cat, not a lap cat, but wants attention and to be near you. She spends a lot of time on Dr. O'Grady's desk, begging for attention from everyone that enters the office. Being visually impaired does come with some life challenges, jumping onto a desk safely means she needs to know where the obstacles on the desk are and constant moving things around can cause her to fall during a jump. Since she can not see properly quick movements and loud noises startle her.
Unfortunately, living in a veterinary hospital is very stressful for a cat with vision issues. As you can imagine the hospital is full of barking dogs, loud noises and quickly moving people. Clementine is forever getting startled and scared when she can’t see properly and does not know how she needs to react.
Clementine's ideal home would be indoors only, in a quiet household, either as an only pet or with other pets that are sedate and will not startle her. She does get along with other cats, if they do not “ambush” her and does get along with friendly quiet dogs.
Clementine’s adoption fee is $ 225 which will help fund the “AL Fund”, a fund which helps provide care to rescued pets. Dr O’Grady donates her time and covers much of the costs associated with providing care to rescued cats/dogs. When adopting a cat from us, you are giving a rescue cat a forever home and helping the next rescue cat or dog!
If you are interested please let us know and we will send you an application form.
