Victoria Cat Rescue has this lovely cat who is still looking for a home. Please read this post and see the pictures and think of what cat lover you know who is looking to adopt right now. This is a great rescue and if you know of a good home for this "kid" please contact Kim at VCRC.

We actually did know this. They are very accurate at rain prediction. I have seen accurate predictions by BB (seen in profile photo here) for many, many years.

UPDATE: We have $500 in matching funds so donations for Einstein now total $1000! We are very grateful for all the donations to help our senior kitties. This will provide funds for Einstein's dental surgery on Dec. 23! (Depending on the extent of his dental surgery, it will possibly be more than this so we always welcome donations.) Tax receipts will be provided before tax time so be sure to give us your address. Pay Pal and CanadaHelps provide tax receipts at the time of donations.

This lovely feral kitty was rescued in 2011. As you can see, he was quite active! These photos were taken during his first year here. He was adorable but unadoptable and he retired here in my home with a few other unadoptable cats (who are no longer here - having been adopted or were seniors and spent their last months/years here).

He has been sponsored with a monthly donation from Leslie Duncan at Simply Cremations for the last several years. (She came to visit him but he hid as usual. Luckily, Leslie understands cats and wasn't actually expecting him to show appreciation - lol.)

Einstein especially likes one volunteer and they are slowly developing a relationship. After 14 years here he very much sees this as his home and personal "territory," but over time as he bonds with her - she will try fostering him. (We won't rush him, but he may agree to going with her since finally all of his old feline girl friends and boy friends are gone.) His first love was Mrs. Spice (see photos in comments), then Wilhemina (a black senior), then Sooty (a fluffy black male), and then Swifty (a b&w tuxedo). His last roommate was our gorgeous Siamese CiCi but he had no interest in her and rebuffed her, the rascal. They all had great vet care but were older at the time of rescue and he has outlived all. His new roommates are only temporary domestic boarders since we are no longer taking ferals and leave that to younger rescuers...

He is approximately 16 or 17 now and needs some dental work. This generous offer of donating up to $500 for matching funds is very much appreciated! So by Christmas he will have his dental issues resolved!

Helping Homeless Cats of Greater Victoria Society

We are a Registered Charity in Victoria, BC, specializing in helping high needs cats, including medical and behavioural issues. We also have a very unique Long Term Senior Foster Program where we place rescued cats with older seniors or people on disability and then we help support the cat. We also have feral feeding stations. We are dependent on supporters to help us as we have a lot of vet bills for our special kitties!
