Skye met her little sister for the first time! 🐕🐾 Her little sister, Quest, who is one year younger, is actually smaller but as fast! These two crazies didn’t waste any time with introductions. They went straight to playing…and running. Lots of running! Quest is this chocolate color with super light blue/green eyes. So cute!

STOP! 🛑✋… It’s been a while since we worked on Skye’s “Stop!”… so while practicing agility, I decided to mix in a few other skills. She did so well. This was after almost one hour of agility practice so she was a wee bit tired. 😄🐾 🐕

A bit cold for my senior dog, Lexi, who is 12.5 years old… but…she’s enjoying it nonetheless…. Especially the nap afterwards 🥰🐕❤️. I wish I could go back 10 years so I can have another 10 years with her 🥺.

Skye is getting used to the real Canadian winter 🥶 ….as opposed to the 3 little days of snow we were having when living on Vancouver Island. Temperatures here are colder. So far, she loves it. (I don’t! 😩). She’s not fond of the coat but I wasn’t sure what to do: she’s quite slim so I don’t want her to freeze. She met another dog on our walk and was so happy to play bitey-face with her! 😆. I guess the coat wasn’t needed after all that running around! Last slide shows Skye who never gets tired of playing with that ball… even in the snow.

Such beautiful day for November!

Today, I decided to walk Skye in the country to my favourite spot…away from the big city. No cars, no people, no dogs….just silence and a great view of the Rockies. Perfect!

I only walk 1 dog at the time, so Lexi will be going there next time.

Then, after her country walk, Skye discovered Spruce Meadows, a world renowned place for horse sports. I love that place. Lots of great spots for socialization …and yes, Skye is waving “Hi!” in one of the photos 😄🐕. Total walk: 2 hours. Skye was snoring in the car on the way back😆.

My little Lexi got her surgery just a few days ago. Her left, blind eye was removed to avoid pressure (equivalent to migraines). It was time to do it as Lexi is 12 years young. She’s doing awesome 😊 ❤️ and Skye and I were so happy to have her back home. Can’t wait for her hair to grow back!. 🐕🐕

Back to agility after a few months of absence! Yah!! 🎉🥳. We love agility! We have moved back to Calgary early July. Although I still have lots to unpack, I decided to start Skye from scratch with a pre-agility class to practice focus while other dogs are around. As you can see, Skye was a bit nervous seeing larger dogs…but then…she saw her new friend she met prior to class, a young Border Collie almost her age…. Can you guess which picture shows that moment? 😆🐕

We stopped in Kamloops and Salmon Arm for some games to tire Skye out before arriving to Revelstoke. I think it is a success! Both dogs are out! 😄👍🏻🐕🐕

After 2 years of wonderful time on Vancouver Island, we are now moving back to Calgary! 🐕🐕😄 We will miss the ocean but we WILL be back! ❤️ Stay tune for new adventures! 😄

Skye, now a little over 1.5 years old: Last weekend, we participated in a “Fun Match” at our agility school, which consisted of doing 3 agility runs for each dog, with just jumps and tunnels. It was a bit chaotic with 12 dogs in crates waiting for their turn, but a good experience for Skye and I. Skye didn’t do well in the first two runs, but was better in the third… We have a lot of work and more practice to do but it was fun. 😊. Skye is a nutty at agility (teenage brain 🙄)… and becomes downright a beast when I take her favourite tug toys out! That pup can tug your arm out of its socket!! Crazy!! 😳 Don’t be fooled by all her cuteness! 😆
