About 200 yards further down the road there was another herd. This time only one breeding stallion. The wild horses in the Panther River valley are predominantly bays and sorrels. Most of the horses in the next river valley are blacks and blue roans. You can tell that there has not been much new blood introduced to this population in recent years because of the consistant type, size and color.
