One of the little perks of pet sitting is discovering places I probably never would have found otherwise.
Today’s meet & greets brought us from Victoria up toward Nanaimo, which meant I had the perfect excuse to stop at one of my favourite local markets— Great Greens Farm Market .
If you’re ever passing through, it’s well worth the visit. They have an incredible selection of fresh produce, quality groceries, locally made artisan products, an onsite butcher with specialty meats and cheeses, and some of the best grab-and-go lunches around. Their fresh baking is always tempting, and I can never leave without browsing the imported treats, chocolates, and candy.
It’s one of those places that just feels like community. Friendly staff, a beautiful spot to enjoy a picnic, clean washrooms, and even complimentary coffee with your purchase.
I love supporting local businesses whenever I can, especially ones that make such a positive impact on their communities. If you’re in the area, I’d definitely recommend making a stop.
