Indoor Horse Board Available

Stall available in quiet, private barn in south Muskoka. Conveniently located with easy access to Highway 11, between Orillia and Gravenhurst.

Grass paddocks with year round, free choice round bales and a home away from home atmosphere. No lesson program or indoor arena. Long turnout with reverse turnout in summer to beat the heat and bugs.

Board includes:
🐴 Oats and beetpulp
🐴 Hay (rounds outside, squares inside)
🐴 Blanketing
🐴 Large Individual Tack locker
🐴 Heated outdoor troughs
🐴 Shelters
🐴 Specialty feeds and supplements must be provided by owner.

We switched back to regular turn in and although I have enjoyed sleeping a bit later all summer, there really is something special about a sunrise in September that makes an earlier morning worth it 😍

Our Story

Morstar Equine is a quiet, family run boarding facility located in southern Muskoka. We are committed to providing quality care for your equine partner and creating a home away from home for our valued clients.

We offer indoor board in our refinished, century bank barn. Custom built stalls, each are deeply bedded and rubber matted for the comfort of your horse. Horses are grained twice daily; oats and beet pulp are provided, however, any specialty grain or supplements must be provided by the owner. Water troughs are heated in the winter months and round bales are available year round to supplement the grass paddocks.

Heather Morrison is the owner operator of Morstar Equine. She started riding at a local Arabian horse farm and fell in love with the breed and everything involved in keeping horses. After getting her first horse Silver, Heather started mucking stalls to work off board and lessons, and learned that she liked taking care of horses as much as she enjoyed riding.

Since then Heather has competed across Ontario and the northern states in Arabian breed shows, learned to drive and spent several years driving and showing Welsh ponies, earned two diplomas from the Kemptville Campus of the University of Guelph in Equine and Agriculture, worked for a local construction company as a lead hand, purchased and restored the Morstar Equine property, and started a family with her partner Matt and their daughter Bronwyn.
