Some thoughts upon a recent discovery of an unopened bottle of 1800 Tequila behind the bottom door of a piano at a post-secondary institution.
1. This piano has decent taste in booze.
2. No judgement, piano. This pandemic has been tough on all of us
3. This is not the ideal method of piano humidification.
You’ll be relieved (or disappointed) to know that I left the bottle where it was.

Now is as good a time as any to get your piano tuned, especially if it’s been a bit neglected over the last couple of years. Don’t let this become your piano.

Hello friends!

I hope you are all healthy and well, and managing to get through your days as smoothly and optimistically as possible. Though it’s not top-of-mind for many, for some, music in our homes has taken on an added significance, whether as a means of continuing to make a living, or simply as a pleasure and distraction.

Many of my clients have been contacting me recently and asking whether they can get their pianos serviced. I’m happy to say I’ve been able to re-start working on home pianos safely and successfully with all distancing and cleaning protocols in place.
