Our Story
In the summer of 2016 we picked out a puppy. We were nervous of the struggles we could encounter trying to train a puppy, however, that was the least troublesome issue we had.
The biggest issue that arose was what do we feed her? While originally giving her what the breeder had fed the litter. We wanted a kibble that contained more meat, more real ingredients and less preservatives and fillers. After reading reviews and understanding what was actually included on bagged kibble ingredient listings, we decided for what we were paying for a high end kibble diet it still fell short of some quality ingredients we were hoping for.
We began looking into raw diets, and we were hesitant, but wanted to do it for the health benefits and potential longevity of our pups life.
We were nervous about the storage and handling, but mastered a way to avoid any misuse. Once conquering the fear of how to properly feed our dog a balanced raw diet, the next problem was whether we were okay shopping at the grocery store for meats and still have to get other nutrients into her diet (organs, bones, fatty acids, etc.). This was resulting in her diet being more expensive then ours! No way!
So here is how Ontario Wild came about, we found a Ontario grown, ethically raised supplier and decided to help out everyone else who may have stumbled among the same problems as us.
