Due to the recent weather and the trailer being parked, all grooming appointments have been temporarily moved to Pet Valu Trunk Rd.

The only exception will be special-needs in-home clients, who will continue to be accommodated as needed.

With this temporary change, new grooming appointments are now available at Pet Valu Trunk Rd. All bookings are handled directly with me, so if you’re interested in a grooming appointment, please reach out. Availability is limited at this time.

As we step into a new year, I just want to say thank you. Thank you to every client who trusted me with their pets, every family who welcomed me into their homes, and every partner who supported K9 along the way.

This past year was filled with growth, learning, community support, and so many wagging tails. None of it would be possible without the incredible people and pets that make up the K9 family.

This Christmas, my wish is simple.
That every pet feels safe, loved, and remembered.

Seeing this moment in print is a reminder of what community can do when we come together for those who don’t have a voice. This holiday season was about more than toys or photos. It was about dignity, comfort, and showing shelter pets that they matter.

Today’s Christmas Toy Drive for The Sault Ste Marie Humane Society was truly something special. What started as a simple idea turned into an incredible show of kindness, generosity, and community spirit.

Thank you to every single person who took the time to donate a toy, stop by, share a kind word, or support this event in any way. Because of you, shelter animals will have comfort, enrichment, and a little extra joy this holiday season.

A heartfelt thank you to Pet Valu for being such an amazing partner and for helping make this possible, and to the Humane Society team for the important work you do every single day for animals in need. Seeing a shelter dog join us today was a powerful reminder of exactly who this drive was for.

Hosting this toy drive in partnership with Pet Valu was an incredibly meaningful experience. Seeing shelter pets meet Santa and Mrs Claus reminded me how powerful community support truly is. Moments like this highlight what can happen when local businesses, organizations, and the community come together for a shared purpose. Thank you to the Sault Ste Marie Humane Society for their ongoing partnership and to everyone who donated, supported, and helped spread holiday joy to animals in need.

The K9 Toy Drive is officially underway.

From now through December 12th, 2025, we are collecting new, unwrapped dog and cat toys to support The Sault Ste Marie Humane Society
Every single toy donated goes directly to a pet waiting for their forever home.

All gifts will be presented by Santa and Mrs. Claus on December 12th at Pet Valu.

Our final nail trimming clinic of 2025 was absolutely amazing. Together, we raised $300 for the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society at the last clinic alone.

That brings our total donation for 2025 to an incredible $4,100 raised for the Humane Society through nail clinics and events. I am beyond grateful for the continued support from this community. Every single trim truly makes a difference.

We are also excited to officially announce our Nail Trimming Clinic dates for early 2026:

Important reminders for all clinics:
Please ensure you check in with staff before bringing your dog into the store for their nail trim.

• Due to white-out conditions at times from wind and snow, please drive safely when traveling today. Your safety and your pet’s safety always come first.

Winter Weather Reminder

As we move into winter, I want to remind everyone that appointments may need to be adjusted if road conditions become unsafe. Your pets’ appointments are important, but safety on the road always comes first. If the weather turns or the roads aren’t in good condition, I will make the call and contact you as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding during this transition into the snowy season. The roads haven’t been the greatest the last couple of nights, and I appreciate everyone’s flexibility as we navigate winter together.
