Happy Saturday Pawsitive Fam 💖🐾

It's been a busy few days over here filled with lots of sweet faces, puppy introductions, cooperative care wins, and enough fur to build several extra dogs 😂

Tuesday kicked things off with Bob, a new face to the salon and one of my sweet senior friends ❤️ Bob is getting up there in age and has a touch of dementia, so his appointments look a little different these days. There were a few moments where he'd forget where he was and get a bit panicked, but we took everything nice and slow and worked through it together. By the end of it, he had done wonderfully 🥺

Oakley was in for his deshed and somehow managed to leave behind enough fur to knit an entirely new dog 😂 As always, he was absolutely perfect.

Blue Bird rounded out the day and was an absolute gem for her bath. She's still a little wary when the dryer first turns on, but settles quickly and handled everything beautifully 💖

Wednesday was another full day of wonderful pups.

Oakley returned for a Nagayu bath to help support her skin and coat, and we took her a little shorter for summer ☀️ She handled everything like the little superstar she is.

Jake brought his signature happy-go-lucky attitude and those adorable head tilts that could convince anyone to hand over treats 😂 Thanks to staying on a great grooming schedule, there wasn't nearly as much fur coming out this visit!

Luna, a 5 month old puppy, came for her second groom ever and first visit with me. She was FANTASTIC. Seriously such a lovely little girl and I already can't wait to see her again 💖

Daisy was a brand new face and absolutely thrived in the one-on-one environment. She also seemed VERY aware when it was picture time and was more than happy to pose for the camera 😂

Phoebe came by for a nail dremel and this time we brought out the hammock - also known as air jail 🤣 She may not have approved of the situation, but she was so much calmer and made the whole process much easier.

Sally had her best session yet and seeing her confidence continue to grow has been so rewarding. These small wins are exactly why I love what I do 🥺❤️

Thursday's crew may have been smaller, but they certainly kept me smiling.

Aspen came in after some difficult experiences and recent vet visits, but she did AMAZING. She's such a fun-loving girl and spent plenty of time running around and playing with the piggies. In fact, she was so attached to one that I had no choice but to let her take it home 😂

Winter was her usual saintly self. She's been kept in a short shave her entire life, so we took her back down to smooth and easy-to-maintain, just the way she likes it 💖

Friday brought Poppy and Maverick.

Poppy always keeps me entertained with her quirky little personality. This visit she hopped right into the bath without hesitation, which was a pleasant surprise! Apparently she's recently discovered she likes water, according to Mom 😂

Maverick was his usual saucy little self. He's full of energy and happiness right up until someone needs to hold a paw 🤣 With more frequent visits and potentially a little extra support, I truly think he'll become a rockstar on the grooming table. For now, he's embracing every bit of that classic Schnauzer attitude.

Today's crew wrapped up the week perfectly 💖

Oreo was an absolute superstar today. During his last visit, the dryer was a little scary and resulted in a small accident. This time? He didn't even bat an eye at it 🙌 We also made sure to spend plenty of time testing every single toy in the salon because apparently that was very important business.

Ripley popped by for a nail dremel and was such a brave girl. It may not be her favourite activity, but she works through it every time and makes me so proud ❤️

Atlas and Lyric finished off the day. Lyric continues to volunteer herself for both her appointment and Atlas's appointment, insisting on being first for table time 😂 The second it's bath time though? Suddenly the grooming table looks much more appealing than the tub. Atlas, meanwhile, is perfectly content with life as long as snacks are involved 🤣

Thank you as always for trusting me with your amazing pups. Watching them gain confidence, build positive associations, and learn that grooming doesn't have to be scary is something I'll never take for granted ❤️🐾

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! 💖

I honestly don’t even know what to say right now 🥹💖

Nomination round has officially ended and voting has now begun… and somehow little ol’ Pawsitive Touch Grooms made it into the next round 😭

As a brand new business that hasn’t even been open a full year yet, this means more to me than I could ever properly explain. What started as a scary leap of faith has turned into something so incredibly special because of all of YOU. Every share, every recommendation, every appointment, every kind word, every ounce of support… it all got me here.

I’m emotional honestly. To even be recognized alongside so many amazing businesses already feels like such a win 🥹

Thank you for believing in me, trusting me with your babies, and supporting a grooming approach built around comfort, patience, trust, and cooperative care over perfection.

Now that voting is officially open, your votes matter more than ever 🙏💖 If you’d like to continue supporting Pawsitive Touch Grooms, I would be beyond grateful for every single vote.

Thank you again for helping make this dream possible. Truly. 🐾

Happy Monday Pawsitive Fam 💖🐾

Apparently this was my “final day off” but somehow I still ended up surrounded by dogs 😂 honestly though, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Maui was first up today and we decided to go a little shorter for summer while still keeping him oh so adorable 🥹 He was perfectly behaved as always and such a sweetheart to groom.

Fransisco came in for his very first appointment with me today and WOW did he ever crush it 🙌💖 He’s had a rough grooming experience in the past, so his family has been doing grooming at home for the last year, but they finally decided to give someone new a try and I am SO glad they did. We clicked instantly and he did absolutely amazing. I seriously cannot wait to see him again 🥹

Miss Ellie was next and was her usual perfect self - though she did greet me with a tiny little p*e accident when she first came in 🤣 honestly I think she was just as shocked as I was hahahaha. Despite her little “oopsie,” she did fantastic for everything today 💖

And finally, Lightning 💛 This girl made me SO proud today. We got her more dry than we ever have before and for the first time she didn’t even attempt to jump out of the tub 🙌 Slowly but surely we are building her confidence and helping her realize grooming doesn’t have to be scary 🥹

That’s all for today friends - tomorrow we return to our regularly scheduled programming 😂🐾

Happy Sunday Pawsitive Fam 💖🐾☀️

Today absolutely *flew by* 😅

First up was Raymond who, despite already having a walk and p*e break, was still SO excited to see me that he gave me the happiest little p*e greeting anyways 😂 He did amazing for his nails today!

Next was Casey for his very first official grooming appointment after previously coming in for a Pawsitive Intro - and WOW did that prep work pay off 🙌 He did *fantastic* today and even rocked a little mohawk hehe 💖

Coco was next and as always this tiny bundle of joy was so patient and sweet for me 🥹 She’s now feeling much fresher and cooler for the upcoming heat ☀️

Brier came in for his usual pamper and today Merin joined me for some more hands-on experience! She handled his bath, blow dry, and even helped with some clipper work 🙌 I’m seriously so proud of how much she’s growing already 💖

Then I got to meet Aegis for the first time! This handsome service dog is such a gentleman. Grooming makes him a little nervous, but by the end he was taking treats from me and accepting lots of love 🥹 I can’t wait for his appointment next week!

Lastly was sweet Bonney 💖 I’ve known this lovely lady for around 4 years now and while she would definitely rather avoid baths entirely 😂 she still does so well for me every visit. Today was her usual summer tidy-up so she can stay cooler and less shaggy ☀️

Thank you all as always for trusting me with your babies and supporting my little business 🐾💖

Happy Saturday Pawsitive Fam 💖🙏

This week looked a little different over here. Between losing our sweet Whyte and then staying home Friday with a sick kiddo, I’ve been a little quieter than usual. Thank you SO much to everyone who was kind and accommodating with reschedules this week — it truly means more than you know 🥺

Wednesday I came in with a full day booked, but after my first pup I realized I just wasn’t in the right headspace to give everyone my best. I decided to reschedule the rest of the day and take some extra time to grieve ❤️

That day did include Norman though — a 5 month old Golden Retriever/Bernese Mountain Dog mix who came for his very first groom and absolutely rocked it 🙌 He needed a few slower introductions to things like the dryer and nail clippers, but overall did AMAZING. He also strongly believed towel drying himself was his personal responsibility 😂

Thursday’s crew included Little Foot, who left approximately 30lbs lighter after all the deshedding 😂 Chopper, who decided the salon floor was lava and had to stay glued to me for safety, Chip who performed every “turn” cue like an honour student for treats 💖 and Gus, who officially wins for most doodle fur I’ve ever shaved off 😆

Friday was spent at home with a sick kiddo ❤️

Today’s crew was full of sweet faces as always ✨

Lacey popped in bright and early for a nail trim and was in and out in under 3 minutes 😂 Barlowe was thrilled to visit “Aunty Jazz” as always, and longtime clients like him truly mean the world to me 🥺 Peekay came ready to hand out kisses instead of grooming cooperation 😂 Arkam continued his journey of becoming calmer while also becoming MUCH more stubborn 😅 Cedar decided his bandana was deeply offensive today despite looking adorable in it 💖 and Sadie came by with her new sister Molly for a nail trim and brush out! Molly absolutely rocked her session, while Sadie had MANY opinions about nail trims… until I pulled out the Dremel and suddenly she became perfect? I’m confused, but I’ll take it 😂

Also — nomination round ends tomorrow at 11:59PM! Thank you SO much to everyone who’s been voting and cheering me on 💖 Please don’t forget to get your final votes in 🙏

Good Morning Pawsitive Fam ❤️

I wanted to let everyone know that the salon will be closed today as our family had to say goodbye to our sweet 16 year old kitty, Whyte 🐾🌈

She has been such a huge part of our lives for so many years, and we’re taking today to spend some quiet time to support one another through this difficult goodbye.

I truly appreciate everyone’s understanding, patience, and kindness while I take this time away. I will respond to messages and rescheduling requests as soon as I’m able.

Please give your pets a few extra cuddles for us today ❤️

Happy Saturday Pawsitive Fam 🙏❤️🙌

We do NOT talk about Bruno… aka the weather 😅🌧️

I was up bright and early this morning and while I definitely would’ve loved a little extra sleep, my first appointment managed to get exactly that 😂 Honestly, I can’t even blame her because I’m guilty of sleeping through alarms too hahaha. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to fit her back in sooner, so Lexie is officially rebooked for two weeks from now! ❤️

Next up were Lyric & Atlas for their nail dremels! Atlas, as always, was all smiles and immediately volunteered to go first 😅 Lyric likes a little encouragement getting onto the table… unless her brother goes first, then suddenly she’s ready too 😂 sibling influence at its finest hahaha.

Harley came in next for his nail dremel and I’m SO happy to say this was his second appointment without any nervous piddling 🙌❤️ We’ve definitely been making progress and I’m so proud of him!

Josie was next and as always, this sweet girl absolutely melted my heart 🥹❤️ Her love for the salon stuffies is the cutest thing ever - such a typical golden retriever carrying treasures around, even during her groom 😅 She was also very invested in convincing me to hand over as many treats as possible hahaha. Thankfully she’s an angel for the grooming process, although the cookies probably help 🍪😂

Duncan came in after that! Even though I haven’t known him for very long, he has come SUCH a long way since our first session together. Honestly, I go right for his nails now and sometimes forget he once needed a muzzle 😅 He’s always soooo eager to “put ‘em up” or sit pretty - whichever one he’s attempting in the moment 😂❤️ It’s adorable every single time.

Loki was next! This handsome guy was the winner of the 50% off contest I held awhile back and today he finally got to cash in his prize 🙌 Loki has enough energy to power an entire city I swear 😂 He truly has more energy than my kids hahaha. Despite that, he’s always such a good boy for me and I was so happy to pamper him today ❤️ Although… I definitely could’ve done without the nasty little crawling friend he brought along 🤦‍♀️🕷️ Tick season is truly one of my least favourite parts of the year 😭

Last, but certainly not least, was sweet little Lilybean ❤️ This lovely girl is one of my every-4-weeks regulars, so she knows the routine very well by now. Today I decided to go a little shorter with her trim since she grew SO much between appointments and somehow she ended up looking even cuter 🥹 Not entirely sure how that’s possible hahaha.

There are officially only 8 more days left to get your nominations in for Community Votes! Thank you so much to everyone who has nominated me already ❤️🙏 Don’t forget you can nominate once every 24 hours!

That’s all for today! Tomorrow I’ll be back in with Merin for Hudson - a much bigger pup who is going to have LOTS of deshedding to do 😅🐾

See you all tomorrow ❤️

Happy Fri-Yay everyone 💫🙏

I started my morning off meeting Francais! This happy dude was absolutely thrilled to play fetch with me and his dad while we chatted all about him. He has been home groomed after having a bad experience in the past, but his family is ready to hand the job over so they can stop dealing with hair splinters at home 😅 I’ll be seeing him next week for his full groom and I’m so excited to give him a positive experience and show him grooming can be fun!

Winston was in next and this guy KNOWS he’s handsome 😂 Once he’s finished he struts around the shop like he owns the place. Let’s talk about his grooming schedule for a second though - Winston comes in every 4 weeks and the amount of hair that still came out of him today was wild! This is exactly why keeping dogs on the proper grooming schedule for their coat type is so important. If we pushed him even another week or two, that coat would become much denser and tighter, which can quickly become uncomfortable for him. Consistency truly makes such a difference in maintaining healthy skin and coat health, especially for extra fluffy pups like Winston 🐶

Penny also came in today and brought along her new brother Phillip so they could both get pampered together 💕 Phillip was such a happy-go-lucky boy and was so eager to run around and explore the shop. He did fantastic for his very first professional groom! He’s definitely your typical big brother though and loved throwing paws at his little sister whenever he got the chance 😅

Penny, as always, did amazing for her groom. I do want to be transparent though that we had a small whoopsie during her appointment. While I was clipping her, Phillip decided it was the perfect moment to body slam into me like WWE was hiring 😅 and unfortunately I ended up nicking Penny. Thankfully she didn’t react at all - honestly she looked more confused by my reaction than anything else. I got her cleaned up right away and thankfully it was very minor.

I think it’s important to be open about moments like this because grooming involves working with living, moving animals and sometimes unpredictable things happen, even when every precaution is taken. Safety is always my top priority and while accidents are rare, they can happen in situations that are simply beyond anyone’s control. Thankfully Penny was a very brave girl and handled it like an absolute champ 💪🐾

Sadly today I found out one of my sweet clients has passed away - truly it never gets easier to hear when your pups pass away as I love them like they were my own.. Quinn was an incredibly sweet and gentle love bug who while her time with her family was short she absolutely loved every second of it and it showed. Quinn leaves behind her brother Archie who I will be giving lots of extra love to help him through his grief as well 🥺💕 run free sweet Quinn, you'll be missed by all those you've touched 🥺🙏🙌

I suppose May showers are better than none 🌧️ Truthfully, I LOVE the rain, but I was really hoping we’d get this weather last month so everything would be starting to turn green by now 🌱 Gotta love the unpredictable Saskatchewan weather 😅

Tucker was my first pup of the day! He seemed pretty excited to come in... until he realized he actually had to stay, then suddenly he wanted out of here 😂 Tucker had some matting from his winter coat, so I took his skirt a little shorter and left his legs slightly longer instead. The real showstopper though? His beard 😻 I always work extra hard to save it, and by now he’s pretty used to all the extra scrubbing and attention it takes, so I was able to keep it in all its glory 💖

Elliot was in next! Even though he had some trembles on the way in, he was so happy to see me and greeted me with his usual big hug 🥹 Monthly appointments have been such a lifesaver for keeping his coat healthy and long, and today I took him down to 1" all over ✨ It’s honestly funny to me that this looks short now because he used to go right down to 1/4" 😅 We’ve come such a long way with his coat care and maintenance 🙌

Mr. Rip was next up, and this guy seriously has the wooliest coat ever - I swear he has more poodle fur than some actual poodles and he’s only a mix 😅 With him being on a regular grooming schedule now, plus me constantly learning and improving my techniques, I was able to keep him at a nice fluffy 1/2" length all over today instead of our usual shorter 1/4" shave 💖 He was definitely feeling himself after too, strutting around the salon like he owned the place hahaha 🐾

Floki came in for a nail Dremel next and decided to remind everyone that, even though he likes me, he’s still a nervous guy 😅 He greeted me with the tiniest little p**p and a few p*e dribbles, but despite that he actually did really well for his nails today! He had one quick “I’m gonna test Jazz with some wiggles” moment, then settled right down and let me Dremel them with ease 🙌

Last, but certainly not least, I finally got the chance to pamper Nahia! This little sweet pea is pretty nervous with new things and hadn’t had the best experiences at busy salons, so her family wanted to try something more one-on-one - and clearly that was exactly what she needed 💖 She absolutely melted into my heart and was truly SO well behaved, like genuinely such a perfect little girl 🥹 I’m so happy I could give her a calmer experience and love on her the way she needed. I already can’t wait to see her again! 🐾
