Here are 𝟳 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 for your pup to do on a rainy day🐕⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
𝟭. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀⁣⁣⁣
These include Kong 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝘆𝘀, 𝗽𝘂𝘇𝘇𝗹𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 like Outward Hound’s Dog Twister, or a 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿! You can even make your own 𝗗𝗜𝗬 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 using cardboard boxes, folded up toilet paper tubes or a rolled up towel! (don’t worry if your pup eats some of the cardboard, it’s fully digestible!)⁣⁣
⁣⁣
𝟮. 𝗦𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘀⁣⁣⁣
Snuffle mats are rubber mats with lots of fabric strips (usually fleece) tied on. They’re designed to 𝗺𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀 & are a fun way for your pup to sniff out treats/kibble.⁣⁣⁣

𝟯. 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴⁣⁣⁣
Another fun way to make your pup work for their food is scattered feeding - 𝗵𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝘂𝗽’𝘀 𝗸𝗶𝗯𝗯𝗹𝗲 around the house for them to sniff out!⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
𝟰. 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴⁣⁣⁣
This could be anything from working on strengthening 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 to teaching your pup a 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸. Just make sure you have lots of treats!⁣⁣⁣

𝟱. 𝗗𝗜𝗬 𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆/𝗼𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲⁣⁣⁣
Similar to trick training, you can try using household items to teach your pup to 𝗷𝘂𝗺𝗽 𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲. Get creative!⁣⁣⁣

𝟲. 𝗙𝗹𝗶𝗿𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗲⁣⁣⁣
Flirt poles are a great toy for pups with a 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲! I got mine from K9 Creations & Marlo loves it!

River walks with Ruby🐾
With summer arriving & temperatures rising🌡 be sure to start doing 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠𝙨 before heading out with your pups to make sure their paws will be safe!
𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗞:
Place the back of your hand🤚🏼 flat on the pavement. If you can’t hold it there 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝘆 for 𝟱 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀⏰ it is 𝗧𝗢𝗢 𝗛𝗢𝗧 for your pups’ paws!☀️

Mopaka aka Morty is STILL waiting for forever! How!?

Morty has been in care since January 24, 2020 after being removed from an unsafe home. He is approximately 4 years old, but is quite small. He is good with cats and dogs as long as he is integrated with patience. He is FIV/FeLV negative, vaccinated including rabies, dewormed, and neutered.

Pishou devoured her Puppy Love Pet Products Beef Chew in record time🤣
Beef Chews are 11” in length & are a softer chew so they’re great for small & senior pups too🐶
It’s always a good idea to 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝘂𝗽𝘀 while they’re chewing on a longer-lasting snack, & make sure they have access to plenty of 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿💧

What is the 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 of your walk?🐕‍🦺⁣

Do you ever take the time to decide what kind of walk you want to have with your dog before you leave the house?⁣
⁣
Did you even know there were different “kinds” of walks?⁣
⁣
I didn’t either!⁣
⁣
But ever since I started being 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 about the 𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 I wanted & the 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 I had for my dog, everything changed!⁣
⁣
🐾The purpose of your walk could be 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 - working on reinforcing/learning specific behaviours & asking for focus from your dog⁣
🐾The purpose of your walk could be 𝒔𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒛𝒊𝒏𝒈 - this could look like a visit to the dog park, a walk with a familiar puppy pal or meeting new hooman friends⁣
🐾The purpose of your walk could be 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒙𝒊𝒏𝒈 - a leisurely stroll to decompress & let your dog’s nose lead the way, & a great way to bond with your pup⁣
🐾The purpose of your walk could be 𝒆𝒙𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒆 - relieving excess mental or physical energy & keeping your dog fit; anything from jogging to dog sports⁣
⁣
No matter your desired outcome, it’s always best to have a plan before you leave the house to set yourself and your dog up for an awesome walk together!⁣
