This is important. This is important because it's something that we don't admit to or see or mention. It's the reality behind the "fine" or the "not too bad" or any number of fleshless platitudes we offer when the truth is uncomfortable.

I am struggling.

A lot.

It is so many things combined. It is my long standing battle with my mental health. It is winter and the fact that I can't escape it this year. It is Covid's theft of my loved ones. It is Covid itself. It is the shriek of emotions that crushes me whenever I step outside. It is confusion and frustration and feeling helpless.

The cards repeat themselves.

The cards in readings done for me by others who are unaware of my situation have become old friends. And despite the simplicity and the support, despite the way the Universe is trying to lift me up high enough to see, I can't seem to find the starting gate never mind the finish line.

This is clear and simple and stark and yet I stare at it and don't know another way of being.

I don't know what I'm supposed to remember. I don't know what it is that I forgot.

I went looking for a message and I found it. The last card interpretation wouldn't show up for me but the Hanged Man (REV) basically means that if I don't wake the eff up, the Universe is going to set the dial to unbearable until I pay attention.
