Happy Sunday, everyone!

Id like to post a happy update on Tintin ❤️

An incredible couple has stepped forward to foster Tintin in a single kitty home while we sort out his complex medical needs.

His diabetes is still difficult to regulate even with the new insulin, so myself and his vet have decided that he should be on his own with more consistent feeding/dosing to get him on a good schedule, which is difficult to do at the cafe as stress can also increase blood sugar!

Tintin is absolutely loving his own space with windows that open so he can enjoy fresh air and sunshine ☀️

We may still need to fundraise for medical procedures in the future like his dental work, but his diabetes needs to be controlled before we can safely anesthetize him.

Thank you for everyone who has donated to Tintins care whether it be financial help, food and supplements, or just spending time with him getting him comfortable with pets ❤️

I will continue to update everyone on our big man as much as I can ❤️

This is Midnight and she is OBSESSED with this rainbow fluff from a broken wand toy 😂 she is such a playful girl and when she isnt playing she is usually being vocal and asking for food or pets ❤️

I swear, this is her toy of choice 80% of the time and whoever adopts her can have the toy because clearly its her BFF 😹

The cat room is the coziest place to be on this rainy day 🌧 open from 12pm-6pm!

Also, we WILL be open tomorrow, May 18, for Victoria Day from 12pm-6pm!!

Happy Purrsday, everyone!

Tins appointment yesterday went well. He was sedated for his oral exam and got a good hair cut and a bath while he was relaxed 😅

Tin is on antibiotics for now, but they arent the solution. Tin is being referred to the WCVM to be seen by anesthesia specialists for his dental extraction due to his health issues. We will update when we hear back on this referral.

Otherwise, his insulin dose was adjusted and it finally looks like he is responding to it! Its been a while since hes gotten the zoomies and played, but thats probably due to his sugars being uncontrolled. Big shout out to Candice for donating the Libre 2 monitor that we use to keep track of his sugars 🥰

Thanks for everyone who wished good news for Tin! At the very least, his sugar coming down is a huge blessing for us. 😻

We are open our regular business hours today from 12pm to 8pm.

Our poor senior TinTin just cannot catch a break! We have been working for months to regulate his blood sugar without much success, and yesterday I noticed this big lump on his cheek that was not there on Monday 😭

He is at the vet today for a sedated exam to look at this infection. Chances are its one of his remaining teeth that has an abscess 😿

He will stay at the vet today for his exam, a blood sugar check, and hes getting a much needed shave of his back end.

For this reason, the cafe will be closed at 5pm today, May 13, for me to collect TinTin from the vet.

Thank you for your understanding! I will provide an update regarding Tins assessment later today.

This is a weird post. I spoke to a lady on Thursday or Friday last week about a toy your son left at the cafe.

I thought the vacuum got it by mistake, but the cats brought me your son's toy this morning 😂 they must have been playing with it secretly.

Anyways, I have the toy! If you are the mom who's kiddo left this msg me so I can get it back to you!

Happy Purrsday, everyone! Its a gorgeous, sunny day today and we are loving it 🌞

The cafe is bustling with over 20 cats and kittens! Our new arrivals include: Ivy, Goose, Rukia, Kibble, Crunch, Midnight, Stella, Vicky, Blitz, and Bill!!

We are open from 12pm-8pm to get your kitten fix! 😺

WITNESSES NEEDED FOR SUSPECTED ANIMAL CRUELTY

A beautiful, loving cat lost his life this morning after being deliberately discarded. According to the people who found him, he was thrown from a moving vehicle yesterday and struck by another shortly after.

We are devastated. His life mattered.

Together, with the help of selfless volunteers and our partners at Northern Animal Rescue and SOS Prairie Rescue , he was transported for emergency care and comfort at the WCVM in Saskatoon. Despite every effort, his injuries were too severe and the kindest thing for him was to let him rest.

If you witnessed anything at the Giant Tiger at 612 La Ronge Ave in La Ronge on Sunday, March 1, between 11 and 11:45 AM, please contact local authorities, crime stoppers, or reach out to the team at NAR. Your information can help make a difference.
