Halloween can be spooktacular for us humans, but it can be a little scary for our furry friends!
Keep candy out of reach! Chocolate and xylitol (found in sugar-free treats) are toxic to pets.
โ Costume comfort is key! Only dress your pet up if theyโre happy and comfortable in it โ skip anything tight, hot, or restricting movement.
โ Secure your pets indoors. Doorbells, costumes, and fireworks can be overwhelming. Keep pets inside in a quiet, cozy room away from the noise.

โ Turn on the TV or some soft music to mask spooky sounds ๐ถ
โ Use a calming pheromone spray, snug shirt, or their favorite blanket ๐โ๐ฆบ
โ Give them extra cuddles and reassurance (if they want it!) ๐
โ Double-check ID tags and microchips. Just in case your pet makes a break for it during all the excitement.
Stay safe, have fun, and give your pets an extra treat (the safe kind ๐).
Happy Halloween and a wonderful weekend from all of us at Sangudo Veterinary Clinic!
