🐴 🌷Hello Sussex Friends!🌷🐴

As the weather warms up and horses start getting back into work (or playing a little too hard in the pasture), it’s very common to see stiffness, tight muscles, and reduced flexibility.

This is where equine massage comes in. Using targeted, hands-on techniques, I work through areas of tension to help:

🌷Release tight, sore muscles

🌷Improve range of motion

🌷Encourage circulation and recovery

🌷Support a smoother, more comfortable return to work

It’s all about helping your horse feel better in their body, so they can move, perform, and relax more easily.

Even if your horse has just had time off, a session can make a big difference as they readjust.

Message me to get your horse booked and feeling their best for the season ahead!

Sheila Mae is getting back to work, just like many horses this time of year as they prepare for the upcoming show season 🐴

As her workload gradually increases, the focus is on building strength without overloading her muscles too quickly.

To support that transition, she’s been enjoying regular massage sessions between rides to help keep her comfortable, loose, and ready for the work ahead. (The tongue out moment in this picture is a great example of one of her many releases😅)

If your horse is starting back into work, this is the ideal time to support their body and help prevent strain or soreness before it starts.

💲A reduced price is offered when booking either the ✨Functional Assessment and Treatment✨ or the ✨Maintenance Functional Session✨for the rest of the month of April!

Message me to get your horse on the schedule as the season approaches!

Shedding season is in full swing… and yes, this is the reality of equine massage this time of year 🐴😅 hands covered in hair and loving every minute of it!

I had a great Saturday last weekend, working on some wonderful horses. Scout enjoyed a relaxation session just for comfort, while Harrison and Charleigh are getting back into work and were treated to help them prepare for the upcoming show season, and Ally was assessed and massaged after a tough encounter with another horse, focusing on recovery, comfort, and getting her feeling her best again.

And of course, I had my barn assistant for the day, Harry 🐱 keeping a close eye on everything!

The horses were feeling the benefits, and it’s always so rewarding to see them relax, release, and move better afterward.

If you’ve been thinking about booking, now is a great time to get your horse ready for the season or support them through recovery. Message me to book your spot soon!

⚠️ Important Scope of Practice Notice
It’s very important to be clear about what I can and cannot do.
• I am not a veterinarian
• I do not diagnose medical conditions
• I cannot replace veterinary care
• I do not claim to fix or cure medical issues

My role is to support the horse’s soft tissue health, comfort, movement, and function, and to work alongside veterinarians, farriers, chiropractors, and other professionals as part of a well-rounded care team.
If a horse presents with signs that are outside my scope, I will always recommend appropriate veterinary evaluation.

🤍 Why Book Functional Therapy?

With the temperatures dropping, it’s the perfect time to give our equine friends a little extra care!

Cold weather can make joints feel stiff and tight, and muscles don’t stay as warm or flexible as they do in the summer. Massage helps increase circulation, loosen up tight areas, and keep the body moving comfortably through these chilly months. ☃️❄️

Last night, Lily, Jo, and Sonny all enjoyed their sessions, and they each had some lovely releases and softening through their backs, necks and hindquarters. (Just wait until you see Lily’s video… she really leaned into her relaxation! 😌💆‍♀️video in the comments)

And of course… a special shout-out to my assistant Danny, who supervised the whole evening. He made sure everyone behaved, accepted payments in snacks, and took his job very seriously. 🐶💛

So grateful for these sweet clients and the chance to help keep them comfy all winter long!

💆‍♀️🐴What a season! 🐴💆‍♀️

This past weekend wrapped up a busy show season! I had the privilege of massaging so many amazing horses and watching them move, feel, and perform their best. It’s been such a joy to see the improvements and growth in each and every one of my clients throughout the last few shows.

A huge thank you to all my wonderful clients!
Your trust and dedication to your horses’ well-being truly inspires me. ❤️
While show season may have come to an end, I’m still available for massages and yes, I travel! 🚗✨ So if your horse could use some post-season recovery or maintenance work, don’t hesitate to reach out.

🌟 Fun Fact: Regular Equine Myo-Manipulative Functional Therapy sessions help horses move more freely and comfortably, leading to smoother transitions, more engagement, and a happier partner under saddle. 🐎💫

Here’s to a well-deserved rest and to seeing everyone grow and excel even more next year!
