Summer Super Sale!! Wild Deer Leather (harvested and tanned in Canada) Cedarwood and Black. Tribal Spirit has had very busy beginning of the year. As we go through our leather picking out the very best hides for you, we put aside the 'seconds' and to be honest they are kinda piling up. SO time for an decisive sale and I know that when we offer our deer leather at $5 per sq ft.....you jump at the opportunity to stock up. Seconds leather is defined as bad on the skin/smooth side but about 95% perfect on the suede side. So if you can work with the suede side YAY SCORE!! We have a limited amount of these hides, it will sell out. Enjoy!

Our leather is from the Laurentian Mountains, north of Montreal in Canada. Each year during hunting season we recuperate hides from hunters who are feeding their families, but don’t need the hides. Sunflower is a new colour we introduced this spring. In the past we accidentally made some 'Dark Gold' leather and you loved it. But it was confusing people cuz we have had 3 different shades of gold. You got your, Light Gold, you got your Real Gold and then you got your Dark Gold. lol. We decided to officially give them all their very own names names. SO from here on in, our Dark Gold will be called Sunflower. (Please don't ask me which kind of sunflower hehe)

Black Bear Rawhide Hand Drums: We are having a special on a combo pack. Bear Drum and Moose Leather Drum Bag WITH bear applique. We have a bunch of sizes, ranging from 8" up to 16". Please visit our website. We are working on the end of the hides that we gathered last fall. This will be the end of Bear Drums till late fall. We are in the middle of the spring bear hunt here in the Laurentian north of Montreal. We gather and salt the hides but it takes at least 6 months for them to get processed into rawhide. We do NOT hunt them we are simply gathering hides from people who are legally eat the meat but the hides would end up in the garbage. We have built a network and people save us the hides....we buy them from them.

From Fall 2025 hunt here in Quebec we worked really hard to get our #1 butcher to VERY carefully skin the hides. And they are amazing..thick, huge and going to be some of the best drums we have ever made. Black Bear drums are my absolute favourite drums to both pull and play. They are medicine drums...

Black Bear Hide Hand Drum are in Stock Now! We gathered a few hides from last fall and just finished up processing them. Bear drums are quite special. Zoom in on this picture, you will see the patterns and on the skins. Completely unique. We are making some new patchwork Moose leather bags to go with these new drums. We hope you like them.

25% Hand/Drum Bag Kit Summer Time Special
It is finally Summertime and we are having a 25% OFF Summer Special on very popular Bag Kits. For workshops or as a ‘do it yourself' project.
Just to be 100% clear....Tribal Spirit is NOT opening up a Summer Camp. But we are here for you to help out with your summer gatherings.
Everything included (with detailed instructions) to make your own deer or moose leather hand bag or drum bag. We would recommend deer for younger people. Moose sewing needs a little more finger strength. SO. younger that 8...go for deer...older than that should be fine with moose.
Our new Bag Kits are designed as a workshop. We have included very clear instructions, sinew, glovers needle, small piece of thick moose to make a thimble and all the leather cut to size and appropriate shape. We have also included instructions so that people can personalize their bags with either fringe or left as a ‘live edge’.
