Samantha and Ginger are sisters who are poised to illuminate their forever home with joy and inspiration. Their mom sadly passed away, and they have been with SALT for a long time, although we have grown accustomed to them, they deserve to find a loving and permanent home where they can flourish.
A little bit about them... Born April 20, 2018, these two sisters embody the true meaning of sibling love, friendship, and resilience. Despite their age, they remain vibrant, enthusiastic, and eagerly look forward to their daily walks, inspiring us with their zest for life. Ginger has a passion for a running hose while you are watering your flowers, and she delights in being sprayed, showcasing her carefree spirit. We will have many kittens and cats with us! Yes, that’s right! We have kittens and will have them ready for adoption: spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and treated for parasites.

IMPORTANT!!!!

Meet Dorito, a true fighter and inspiration to us all. Dorito came to us on Sunday, struggling to survive due to a severe UTI.

Thankfully, a kind-hearted individual spotted him on Kijiji and wanted to provide a forever home. At first, Dorito seemed fine, even eating a bit, but soon took a turn for the worse, vomiting and becoming lethargic. A vet visit revealed the devastating news that he was blocked and required a $5000 surgery or would have to be euthanized. We were contacted for assistance with euthanasia due to the new owner's financial constraints. Dorito was surrendered to us and rushed to our vet, where treatment began immediately. His temperature had dropped to a worrying 34 C. At SALT, we're dedicated to giving animals like Dorito a second chance. We believe that every life is precious and worth fighting for.
Unfortunately, irresponsible pet ownership and venues offering free pets are a constant threat to our mission. We urgently need donations to cover vet costs, including surgeries. Can you help us save more lives like Dorito's? Please donate through
