SUPER EXCITING ....... !!

The adoption fee for Missy and Cookie has been sponsored in full by an amazing supporter of the shelter and our animals. We hope that by covering the adoption fees for these beautiful bonded sisters will help make them more adoptable ❤️

Missy (14) and Cookie (7) are looking for a special home together where they can be loved and pampered.

🩷Cookie is a 7 year old shepherd mix who is friendly and outgoing. She loves people and is working on her manners not to jump up to greet new friends. She loves snacks, tug of war and car rides, and gets along with cats and people. She is dog selective and has some issues with reactivity in some cases.

🩷Missy is her 14.5 year old companion, and is a very sweet senior girl. She is hoping for a peaceful family to enjoy her golden years with, but she is still down for adventures sometimes! She loves cats and most other dogs, as long as they don't play too rough and rowdy. Miss does have arthritis in her hips and gets daily supplements to help her mobility, which will need to be continued for the rest of her life. She is otherwise in good health.

🏡Missy and Cookie are looking for a home where they can be adopted together. After losing their owner last winter, they deserve a home together where they can move on to their next chapter together. All dogs in the home must meet prior to adopting. If you are interested in meeting them, come by the shelter or send us a DM!!

It's official! Hendricks was adopted today, by a wonderful superstar volunteer Karen McCaig. Thanks for giving our lovable alligator the best home and dog siblings he could ever ask for!
Enjoy your new life buddy!!!! ❤️🥰

NEELAH
Approx 4.5 yrs old

Pitty/hound mix
Adoption fee: $450

Neelah is now our longest resident at St Paul Animal Shelter, and she deserves to find her forever family! She was surrendered to us in June 2024, along with her puppy, Beatrice. (Beatrice is available for adoption too!)
Neelah is a sweet big girl who wants a belly rub from everyone she meets. She is smart and well behaved, although she barks when she is behind a fence, so people assume she is scary. She is a great wireless doorbell, and would be a great protector of your yard, shop or front porch. Neelah would not do well in a home with cats or small animals, and would need to meet any resident dogs before going home to make sure she's a good fit.

Weird Wishlist Wednesday

Since you guys liked this idea so much here it is this week:

Bandaids
garbage bags

Also if you have some of these things laying around collecting dust, we are looking for:

Calming music CD's
Those Rubbermaid drawer things (like the one pictured or similar)
A rubber fitted sheet ...like the ones you use for bed accidents (double size?)

And if anyone has a pull behind grass sweep we can borrow, let us know!!!!

PART TIME HELP WANTED!

We are looking for someone to fill a kennel cleaner role, to start ASAP

Ideal candidates must be comfortable with handling dogs and cats, cleaning kennels and feeding. You will be comfortable working alone and have the ability to problem solve

Responsibilities include:
🐾 Leashing up dogs and letting them outside/inside
🐾 Cleaning dog and cat kennels
🐾 Answering phone & addressing client questions
🐾 Maintain general cleanliness of the shelter

✅Must have a vehicle and a driver's license
✅Must be able to lift ~ 40lbs
✅Previous shelter or animal care experience considered a HUGE asset - priority given to those with shelter experience
✅Handy person experience considered an asset

The position is a "part-time" position for a few shifts a week.

🩷 We want to celebrate TWO adoptions last week... Sweet Princess, who spent a few weeks with our friends at Pet Valu before she found her forever home....and everyone's favorite bossy lady, Angel Baby found her forever home!
😁 Fun fact, Angel's new dog sister is none other than Tasha, who was adopted from St Paul Animal Shelter, and is the momma dog of Boots and Marty!!
