I’m really looking forward to tomorrow’s showcase. Being part of this experience has shifted something in my work. It’s pushed my photography beyond capturing a moment and into creating something more layered, more intentional. I’ve found myself leaning into symbolism, memory, and the emotional weight behind each image in a way I hadn’t before.

This series has become less about what is seen and more about what is felt. About the stories we carry, the connections we hold onto, and the quiet ways they stay with us. I'm grateful to be part of this and to share Whispered Legacies in a space that celebrates growth, storytelling, and art that reaches a little deeper.

I’m really excited to be part of the Emerging Artist Showcase this April. I’ll be sharing pieces from my Whispered Legacies series. This work is rooted in memory, connection, and the stories we carry with the animals we love. It’s a more personal side of my photography, and something I’ve been slowly building toward.

I recently had the chance to sit down with Ben Poulin on Poulin Radio to talk about my work, storytelling, and the heart behind my Whispered Legacies art project. I’m really grateful for the conversation and the chance to share why animals, memory, and quiet stories matter so much to me.

April 18. Mark your calendars. That’s the date of our Break/Through exhibition at the All Saints Ukrainian Church and Cultural Centre.

If you’re interested in applying to be part of my Whispered Legacies art project, you can find the application on my website. I’m also looking to photograph bison as part of a story-based art project I’m developing. If you own bison and would be open to participating, I’d love to connect. Participants would receive a gallery of high-resolution images to keep and share.

I’m excited to share that I’ve been selected as part of the Break Through artist project with the St. Paul Arts Foundation.

Over the coming months, I’ll be developing a body of photo art called Whispered Legacies. This series focuses on the quiet, lasting bonds we share with animals. They are the ones who walk beside us through different seasons of life and shape who we become in ways that don’t always need words. This is a step away from my regular photography. I use Photoshop to blend photography with symbolic elements and storytelling. These aren’t traditional pet portraits. They’re pieces about memory, presence, healing, and the relationships that stay with us long after moments have passed.
