Week 2 - 2018

During the third week of camp we were shorter numbered but we were accompanies by two really close friends Maegan and Emilie.

Kelly joined us again for the trail Thursday and Priscilla and her brother were there to underline the last Thursday dinner.

Monday the girls got a regular lesson with new horses and worked the obstacles. We then ran some errands for the animals at the local coop where the girls ended up having quite a laugh in the equestrian section.

Tuesday we had a big power outage and so we did chores in the barn and went to collect fresh water at the neighbors. We met their cute animals specially the rabbits, goats and the ALPACAS! Everyone also got under the saddle

Wednesday we did lessons and worked the canter a lot.

Thursday we did our third final longest trail to the base de plain air Les Cèdres where we went to swim with the horses again! Priscilla and Kelly joined us. We also met many other riders on the trails and cleaned the eating section as some fencing seemed to be stuck in the grounds and could of been dangerous for the animals.
We came back at 4h30! 22KM!

Ernesto had fun exploding the lawn mower and Catherine and Dave helped us set up the sleeping area for the girls as they choose to sleep in the bed of the truck.

Michele was there again with a great movie and Maegan's parents treated us all with good extra food! Yummy!

We watched Flicka, the first movie and had lots of chatting going along as we were celebrating the end of camps. :((

The girls sleep very comfortably as you can see.. but maybe not many hours..

Friday as usual we did the routine pick up, had lots of fun with the chickens and ended up the summer camping season with fun barebacking all together.

During the second week of camp we were lucky to have with us Maegan, Zoe and Arianne.
Arianne came back with her horse Rainbow that was here in training in November. She had two horses for the first two days. Lots of work she was very brave to take it on!

Also Kelly joined us for the trail Thursday and Christian joined us for a fun day Friday.

Monday the girls got more of a ground work lesson and built a cowboy extreme course, they worked it on the ground in the morning and in the saddle in the afternoon.

Tuesday they worked it in the saddle and saw a considerable improvement.

Wednesday we did a trail the five of us to go to Kees' again for a pic nic. We seem to see snakes everywhere.

Thursday we did our second longest trail to the base de plain air Les Cèdres where we went to swim with the horses. Zoe and Kelly had horses with lots of energy!!We did 21.9km and were gone for over 6 hours!

We missed Michele this week but she still supplied us with a nice meal and we watched the horse whisperer. The girls chose to make themselves comfortable this week by making a hay mattress in the shower area. They slept in the tent but in a barely manner.

Friday we were up bright and early to do the transport of two Canadian horses. Then we came back and picked up our mess of the night before. Christian seemed to life the transport.
The girls picked up, Zoey bathed Bella, we filled the hay nets and worked in liberty and rode bare back again!
