Our Percheron mares, Daisy & Doll, were part of an amazing event at Pioneer Acres in Irricana on Saturday. If was really great seeing so many examples of draft horses all together.

There were several Percheron teams of various styles from compact chore type horses to tall hitch horses and others in between. There were Brabant, Shire, Clydesdale, Fjord, cross bred, American Cream and Suffolk horses there (I’m sure I’ve missed some).

Congratulations to Mike Hopp and your crew for putting this well run event together. The 2nd Annual Chore Team Event will be looked forward to by many.

The Suffolk horse is known to be calm minded. Watch how relaxed she stays as Mike fits her for harness. She stood patiently for close to an hour as we adjusted the harness, added holes and moved around. This “little” 2.5 year old girl is absolutely lovely to work with......

PlowGirlBellL - aka Charlie - joined us at roping practice last night to gain exposure to a new kind of chaos. She took it all in stride!

Calm, alert & soft to handle. There were new things everywhere and she took it all in willingly, including trailering, which she hasn’t done in more than a year!

Charlie is coming 3 years old this spring.
