“A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.” – Joseph Campbell
To our men and women in uniform, past and present, we see you, we thank you, and we remember you.
Your courage runs deeper than words can express.
You’ve faced fear, endured loss, and carried the weight of sacrifice so others could live in peace and freedom.
You have stood on foreign soil, in silence and in strength, protecting people you may never meet.
You’ve missed birthdays, hugs, and home-cooked meals, all for the love of country, all for something greater than yourself.
To the families, the ones who wait, who pray, who hold the pieces together, your strength is its own kind of heroism.
You’ve shared in the burden, the pride, and the heartbreak.
You are the quiet backbone of every act of bravery.
And to the animals who have served beside our soldiers — the loyal dogs, horses, and countless others who have carried, searched, comforted, and protected, your devotion and sacrifice will never be forgotten. You, too, are heroes.
We will always remember.
We will always honour.
And we will forever carry your courage in our hearts. 💕
