✨ Tikka’s Weight Loss Journey ✨
We are so proud of our sweet girl, Tikka! 💛🐾
Tikka started her weight loss journey with us in April on the Purina OM diet, and her family has been doing an amazing job following all of the recommendations to help keep her healthy and lean. 👏

At her very first weigh-in since starting the program:
⚖️ April weight: 30.8 kg
⚖️ Current weight: 29.9 kg
🎉 Total lost: 0.9 kg!

Her ideal weight goal is 21.6 kg, and she is already off to a fantastic start. Slow, steady, healthy weight loss is exactly what we love to see! 💪🐶
A huge congratulations to Tikka’s family for their dedication and commitment — weight loss journeys take teamwork, consistency, and lots of love. We can’t wait to continue cheering Tikka on every step of the way! 💕

As the weather warms up, it’s also the perfect reminder that flea, tick, and intestinal parasite season is starting again.

We’re very excited to have Dr. Doug join our clinic and look forward to the care, compassion, and expertise he brings to our patients and clients.

You can learn more about him below — we’re excited for our clients and patients to meet him! 😊

Doug was born in Jamaica and grew up on his family's livestock farm, working with cattle and pigs. He always had a passion for animals, small and large. He moved to Canada to finish high school, then studied at the University of Guelph, graduating with the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2005. After working in equine practice in Southwestern Ontario, Doug moved to Ottawa and has practiced primarily with dogs and cats for the past 18 years. He was involved in practice ownership and management for 13 years. His current interests are small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery and dentistry. He lives in Ottawa with his wife and 2 sons.
