We’re so excited watching Maple grow and mature! For an almost 6-month-old puppy, she’s beautifully balanced, with so much promise ahead of her.

What we love most, though, is that her sweet personality shines through just as brightly as her structure. She’s a joy to live with, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.

Guess who’s making her show debut this Saturday, May 23rd, at the Moncton Kennel Club Dog Show?

Maple and I will be spending the day at the Moncton Coliseum for the show! You’ll find us in the baby puppy class around 10:45am in Ring 2.

If you’ve ever had questions about the breed, this is a great chance to meet some beautiful Cavaliers and chat with breeders who will be onsite throughout the day.

Make sure to stop by, say hi, and meet little Maple in person! 🍁

All that “behind the scenes” work we talked about last week?

This is what it looks like in real life 🤍

Maple has been tagging along to hockey rinks, hotels, new environments, busy spaces… and taking it all in stride.

She’s curious, confident, and settles in quickly, even when things are new.

That doesn’t happen by accident.

Those early weeks, the handling, the exposure, the little moments that don’t always make it into photos… they really do add up.

It’s one of the things we care most about when raising our puppies.

Seeing it come through as they grow never gets old

When people see photos of cute puppies, it’s easy to think they all have the same kind of start in life.

The reality is… a lot happens behind the scenes before a puppy ever goes home 🤍

In our home, raising a litter isn’t just about keeping them safe and fed. It’s about intentionally preparing them for real life.

From the very beginning, we do things like:

• Early neurological stimulation (ENS) to help build resilience
• Gentle, positive handling every day
• Exposure to everyday household noise (kids, vacuums, laughter, chaos!)
• Early grooming introductions like bathing, brushing, and nail trims
• Lots of time being part of our normal, busy family life

Our goal isn’t just to raise adorable puppies (though that part is pretty easy), it’s to help shape confident, adaptable little dogs who can settle into their new homes more easily.

Every breeder does things a bit differently, but this is a piece of what matters most to us.

It’s not always something you can see in a photo… but it makes a big difference over time 🤍

Was this something you knew about before looking into breeders?

Little miss Maple is officially a proud puppy kindergarten graduate, just in time to turn 17 weeks old tomorrow!

Many thanks to DOGMA Moncton for another wonderful puppy class. No matter how experienced of a handler you are, there’s always something new to learn ❤️

Learning to be big dogs sometimes means playing in the snow! The puppies enjoyed a (quick!) trip outside for their first experience in a snow storm.
