Formerly Kelly’s Cat Cab, Feral to Forever Cat Rescue aims to reduce the overpopulation of cats in Chatham-Kent and the suffering of outdoor cats through TNR (trap, neuter, return) efforts as well as the intake of stray cats and litters of owned kittens.

We wrapped up a couple fundraisers this past week and I just want to send out a few special thank yous!

First off, CONGRATULATIONS to Katherine Vandendool who won our beautiful handmade quilt!

And the biggest thanks to Randelle Bedford for this donation. The moment I saw it, I fell in love with it. And was secretly hoping my mom would win! 😆

We also sold our last Aunt Sarah’s chocolate bar, finishing that fundraiser.

Heartfelt thanks to Virginia Crowe for initiating and organizing this one!

Despite some disappointing news for this family, they’re not letting it get them down. Can you believe we have not received one application for any of these cuties - the kittens or mom?!

Our “dump kittens” celebrated their 5-wk birthday this week by getting a little fresh air and taking a walk in the backyard. ☀️

It’s about time we decide on some names for these cuties! 🩶

Momma is still a spicy jalapeño so she will come to the cat room this weekend and babies will stay with their foster mom who will support them and socialize them for adoption in the coming weeks.

(We do not support allowing cats to roam freely outdoors but these babies were under a watchful eye and cannot run fast enough to get away.)

We had a great turn out for our first nail trim clinic last night at Pet Valu! So many cute puppers came out to support our kitties. 🐶

Thank you to the Pet Valu staff who welcomed us into their store again and helped with planning!

And also huge thanks to Julie, Bethany, and Angelina who donated their time to make this happen after a full day working at our partner vet clinic. You girls are the cats meow! ;)

We’ll be back in-store again on June 13 and 14 for an adoption event. 🐱 Mark your calendars!

Whew! What a day!

It started bright and early sending 9 kitties, including 4 newborns off to two of our rescue partners.

Then it was on to the Kitten Shower. And what a time that was!

We had a great turn out and hope everyone enjoyed themselves. I can’t begin to thank everyone enough for the generosity and love shown to our kittens in care. 🥹 A huge void will be filled in our cupboards.
