Looking for a volunteer foster coordinator (or two) to join our adoption team!

We've been blessed with stellar foster coordinators in the past, but the role is too large for one person - the bunnies need your help. 🐰

Foster coordinator tasks include:

- Responding to foster applications
- Screening potential foster homes via phone call or in-person interviews
- Close communication with our adoption team
- Scheduling foster pickups, drop-offs, and bunny meet and greets
- Supporting bunny fosters by answering their questions and directing them to management for veterinary assistance.

This role can be remote, though the ability to drive to our Richmond shelter is a huge benefit! Interested? Please email [email protected] - subject line "Foster Coordinator."

Our colony bunnies have a great life, but it's not as much fun for our caged rabbits -- bunnies waiting for or recovering from their spay/neuter operations, special needs rabbits, adoptables not at our adoption centres (Cozy Carrots and the The Bunny Cafe), colony misfits, etc -- so we're making sure they still get fresh grass and sunshine with our 'day pens'. Incoming ‼ Times 2 !! We've had two urgent calls over the last couple of days. First this orange baby was spotted in the insanely busy block at Kingsway and Knight in East Vancouver. It took awhile but Brittney and Nicole managed to snag this little guy/girl. ❤ Then one of our supporters reported a dumped baby Flemish giant at Jericho Beach. 😳 Deanna headed out to pick up that young boy, with no issues. (Typical Flemmie, they were able to just pick him up and pop him in a box). We hadn't planned on taking more rabbits after the six from Robson Square last week, but both of these were beyond urgent. We already have two fundraisers up -- one for the Robson Square rabbits and one for our founder's birthday (Sorelle) -- that haven't hit their goals, so directing donations there would be so appreciated! Thanks so much to the Amazon crew who came to help out last week! 🤩 The bunnies loved getting nice deep-cleaned spaces and all those salad treats, and the volunteers and staff love their freshly painted picnic tables! 🩷 Thank you for the nice donation as well! 💚 These corporate work parties really make a difference. ❤Rabbitats is a great venue for these types of company functions. We have comfortable spaces good for hosting dozens of workers in all weather, and we can provide lots of snacks and even a nice vegan lunch! Email [email protected] for more info.

Panda is a four-year-old English Spot mix. He's a bit shy with people, and doesn't always like to be touched (firm boundaries!). Luckily, he has Clown Boy to help him feel brave.

Clown Boy is his opposite in personality. He was named for being fun and acrobatic as a wee baby. Now seven, Clown Boy still loves the attention and having all eyes on him!

- Lounging in front of the television (feet out, always)
- Marathon cuddles
- Being very normal and brave about exploring the couch
- Begging for “just one more” treat
