An impromptu PUPPY training session, while visiting my dad on his job site for work. He told me his client has Two chocolate lab puppies and introduced us...well two hours later I had them tired out and napping. They both knew they had one side to walk on....Rusty(boy) on the Right and Hershe (female) on the left...and no more split leashes. He jogs daily and wants to run with them and now he can!
When he told me he used a prong collar because they pull..they are 5 months old.... Well that took about 20 mins of working with both to correct. Showed him the right style harness to purchase it he wanted a harness but if they are taught well and rules followed shouldn't need one for walking around the property.
Worked individually and then both together at the door and what expected greetings should be and how to ask other people that visit for their help as he is training (get the buy in from others, who have Misbehaving dogs and ask them for things they can control so he can work with his two)....don't ya know it now we have 3 well trained dogs, in one afternoon, and owners feeling confident on how to talk to others in a non confrontational way too.
And lots of puppy kisses before I left! Love these two chocolates...remind me of little Jasper.
