I just wanted to share one of the reasons I've been behind on social media posts. During the day, we're taking care of your fur babies at the shop, but the evenings and weekends were when I would find some quiet time to make posts and videos. After a long winter and some medical issues, my mental health took a toll so I welcomed this big gal, Fiona, to my family. She's my new best friend but came along with health issues of her own so we've been healing each other.

Turns out, our high end clippers at the shop work on horses too so maybe we need to expand our clientele to the equine community. 🤔

Rufus has crossed the rainbow bridge recently to be with his sister Suki. We will miss him just as much as we've been missing Suki here. Rest in Peace sweet boy.

I usually prefer to keep my personal life private. However, recent personal circumstances have been impacting my work and my ability to operate my business effectively. Therefore, I feel it is important to be transparent with you, my valued clients.

Over the past year, my health has gradually declined. Coupled with concerns regarding my health and that of my two oldest daughters, along with other life stressors, I have found it challenging to perform my duties safely.

I have considered closing the shop permanently due to financial viability. While I have implemented a price increase, I also need to reduce my workload to ensure the continued operation of the business. Those familiar with my work know that this business is a source of great pride and joy alongside my children, and I am committed to maintaining it. I am actively taking steps to improve my health and return to my full working hours.

I sincerely appreciate everyone who has reached out with kind words, patience, and understanding. Your support and the care you show to your pets are the reasons I am passionate about what I do.

In the meantime, The Canine Toothfairy will be visiting again on April 18th, and there are still available appointments for teeth cleaning. Please consider booking your pets for this service.

I have made the difficult decision to adjust my pricing in order to sustain my services. While some rates have remained unchanged, others have increased and will apply to both new and existing clients. If the updated pricing is not within your budget and you choose to seek services elsewhere, please notify me in advance so I can accommodate new clients accordingly.

The updated pricing will be implemented starting April 1, 2026.

I want to apologize for the delay in the St. Patrick's Day photos. I will get them posted as soon as possible.

I am overwhelmed here at the shop as I continue Alexis's training so she may take on new clients of her own while I navigate some health issues.

I will be off from April 1-14 for medical reasons with the exception of some very short days and Alexis will be in some days as well to offer bath packages.

I apologize for the inconvenience but I appreciate your patience and understanding when I need to move appointments around as I receive new medical appointments. Trust me when I say that I cannot wait to be on the mend and back to my fully capable self so I may continue this career that I love.
