Last weekend we tried something completely new to us & had an absolute blast! 😊
Jessie St. John has been telling us about how much fun the Saskatchewan Cowboy Dressage Gatherings are, so we decided to join her & see for ourselves.
It was a full weekend with 2 days of clinic & then a 1 day show. It felt a little strange, because it’s been many years since we’ve tried something brand new without Eddie… or Betty!
We took an ambassador from each of our favourite breeds … Lena rode Abbie, Izy rode Tony, & Barb rode Bob White, with Melissa, Melissa & Morgan as the pit crew & moral support. Hanging out with Trisha & Jessie is always a good time, and Auntie Tressa came for a visit too... bringing her usual good humour, snacks & refreshments for all!
We had a ton of fun, met some wonderful people, learned a lot & had qualifying scores in every test. Can’t wait for the next one in May where we hope to take more horses & try some different divisions… maybe even freestyle or drill team!

We are in the process of selling our acreage. As a result we have a wide variety of items for sale. Horses, tack, tools, lawn mowers, horse feeders, water troughs, buckets, fence panels, gates, just about everything. We are working on putting together a detailed list and plan to have a yard sale next weekend Nov 1-3. In the meantime if you or someone you know is looking for anything specific (horse, barn or yard related), send us a msg, we just might have what you need! ;)

Oklahoma was a real rollercoaster this year!
Sooooo many emotions in the barn... Nerves, excitement, frustration, a few tears, but mostly joy & extreme pride. Lena & Bob came home with the blue ribbon in their qualifying class & a Reserve World Champion title in Classic Pleasure Walk Trot 10&11! Izy had some tough luck, but did a beautiful job navigating all the road blocks & unexpected obstacles like a pro, showing real skill and class. We are beyond proud of both riders & Bob. 💗
The tears came at the end of the week, as we said goodbye to Bob. He’s off to a new home in Ohio with 2 little girls of his very own. We hope they love & enjoy him as much as we all have.

Took a few days to recover, but we had a fantastic weekend at the Parkland Spring Show!
Some new divisions, some first time experiences, great rides, delicious meals & some late night hide n seek all made for good times & great memories.
So proud of everyone’s accomplishments & excited to watch the progress throughout the season.
Thanks to the show committee for all your hard work to provide all the exhibitors this wonderful playground to enjoy. 😊
